This is the best oyster knife. It is hard to cut yourself (unless you stab yourself head on) and it is very strong and effective at opening oysters by the hinge. The blade is super strong and the handle is very ergonomic and easy to hold.

Good sturdy knife for shucking oysters.

This is an oyster knife of exceptional quality and usability. Not only does it provide good prying force for breaking the hinges of smaller oysters, its curved blade also makes entering larger Pacific oysters from the bill side easy.

Felt in love with it after a few tests. Bought it mainly for my job. I shock oysters everyday specially on weekends. I am talking about hundreds but this guy has made my life so easier. I can go really fast and not get tire. Grip is amazing, does not hurt the palm of my hand like others. Perfect size. My third oyster knife. The last two knives that I have were either small and weak with no sharp blade or big and bulky that sometimes can't get into the oyster hinge. This one is perfect with high quality blade and not too sharp that you can accidentally cut yourself. 10 out of 10

This knife is great for med-large oysters with sizeable gaps in their hinge. The stout blade gives plenty of leverage to pry open the shell and the blade is the best that I have found for neatly cutting the adductor muscle from both the top and bottom of the shell. I have found it less suitable for smaller oysters as the large blade can fracture the top shell at the hinge. It has a comfortable handle which doesn't feel slippery when wet. If you shuck lots of oysters, this should be in your quiver.
