It works very well . My thought when purchasing was " the wider the better " . We like how it covers and holds the two mattresses together. The 24 inch still has the ability to raise and lower the mattresses separately with little to no material gathering . If it was wider, I believe it would interfere with separate mattress adjustments. **Q: Is this treated with chemical flame retardants?** A: No **Q: I gave 2 twin adjustable frames. Can they still adjust independently with this connector?** A: head or foot may be able to be adjusted, depending on where you place this around your mattresses, and where your frames bend. **Q: We use split king sheets for our adjustable bed. How do you make it work with the fitted split sheets? We don’t want a king fitted sheet.** A: I decided to try it with spilt - at the head only, king sheets from here on Amazon.
