Resulting moka coffee is near identical as what i made from my stovetop Bialetti pot; not exactly a substitute for Silvia but when I am on the road, or mid-day in my cubicle, it satisfies my coffee cravings. I have no idea about this. One more is worldwide, it works from AC 100V to 240V. And power is 80W to 240W (marked on the bottom) But in Japan, it works very poor, cuz only 100V 80W. it takes sooo long time...I can`t wait ! I removed heater coil and rewind 100V 200W NiCr wire. Then it works very well now !! PS I don`t recommend you to rewind the heater, it is your own risk !! **Q: Can I use this veloz coffee maker in europe** A: yes you can providing you plug It in with an adapter (220v to 110v) We have done it many times. Make sure you get a GOOD one. **Q: How can I use it in Europe with 220v?** A: Item is sold in the US with 110V. But mine was volt free,it can use 80V~240V. I`m living in Japan. Yes 100V...It takes too long time. I couldn`t wait. So I remake it . I removed original heater which is world wide. And reinstalled new heater for 100V, then it woks very well.
