If you are unaware of the issue that causes this, this is caused by a poor connection. The pedestal connector was too loose, thus can allow it to arc when using the microwave, or A/C. I cut off the bad connector, stripped the wire, and hooked up the new connector. It’s color coded, so it’s easy to connect it. It is rock solid, and well made. It crimps the cable so it won’t put stress on the connectors. It was a great decision to purchase this.

Much better choice than the local HD or Lowes replacement plugs, theirs is far from water tight and has a non clamping connection, just a screw down lug which is okay for solid wire but less favorable for stranded. Stranded wire is what your camper has. This one has a clamping connection on the wire. With a little silicone this could easily be a total water tight connection. Clamped down and fit snugly over 10/3 30 AMP cable. If you have an older camper with a molded plug that has any appearance of corrosion and you run a high amp load AC or electric heaters, it may be a good idea as a preventative measure to replace. My trailer is a 1998, I plugged into a new outlet and the plug and outlet under load started to actually melt. I didn't know it until the power failed and I started checking breakers and connections. I believe from years of use and possible corrosion on the hot leg of the original molded rubber plug just could not carry the load. When in doubt be safe and replace.

I know one can easily purchase a new cable, but the cable we have, only had 1 prong a bit “toasty”, and melted a bit. If you are unaware of the issue that causes this, this is caused by a poor connection. The pedestal connector was too loose, thus can allow it to arc when using the microwave, or A/C. I cut off the bad connector, stripped the wire, and hooked up the new connector. It’s color coded, so it’s easy to connect it. It is rock solid, and well made. It crimps the cable so it won’t put stress on the connectors. It was a great decision to purchase this.

Easy to follow instructions. Much better choice than the local HD or Lowes replacement plugs, theirs is far from water tight and has a non clamping connection, just a screw down lug which is okay for solid wire but less favorable for stranded. Stranded wire is what your camper has. This one has a clamping connection on the wire. With a little silicone this could easily be a total water tight connection. Clamped down and fit snugly over 10/3 30 AMP cable. Usual first rate CAMCO quality. This one gives enough grip for me to get it out of a tight plug, but there is another version with a larger handle.
