For the money, I do think this is a good buy, but would have preferred the corelle set if it was still available for the reasons I already listed. UPDATE: I am updating this review to 5 stars. The more I use this set, the more I fall in love with it. I got used to the heaviness, now I think of it as sturdy. I love the red color, and the way the set looks and matches my corelle ware. 5 stars! No regrets!
