Moved it to the lowest setting and my Kawasaki 650 fit snug. Without actually measuring it could be assumed that the engineers at mototote have taken spare tire mounts into consideration. Just make sure you use the extra wobble control and tighten the bolts to reduce bouncing. I love this product.
