## Description

In 1998, Royer set out to reimagine the ribbon microphone. Known for their smooth and natural sound, ribbon microphones, while sought after, had some inherent flaws. They were large, heavy, fragile and extremely sensitive to heat and humidity. Enter the Royer R121 Ribbon MicrophoneRoyer's flagship R121 Ribbon Microphone delivers the classic sound that you expect from a ribbon microphone while negating all of issues that came with it's predecessors. The R121 is lightweight, compact, rugged and virtually unaffected by heat and humidity. The R121 is so rugged, in fact, that Royer gives you an unprecedented LIFETIME WARRANTY. The R121's ability to withstand high SPL makes it the ideal choice for recording a wide variety of sources. The R121 shines on drums, guitar cabinets, brass, choirs, orchestras and so much more. Royer's patented Offset Ribbon Transducer, the first of it's kind for ribbon microphones, places the ribbon closer to the front side of the microphone allowing it ample room to move within the magnetic field, giving it the ability to maintain it's full frequency response while recording high SPL sources. The Royer R121 is the go-to ribbon mic for the modern recording engineer. Own one today!
