Think a bigger vs. smaller gas tank. FYI: The numbers 18650 and 26650 simply are the diameter of a cell and the length, with a zero added at the end. An 18650 cell is 18 mm in diameter and 65 mm in length. A 26650 cell is 26 mm in diameter and 65 mm in length. The voltages are the same.
