They both have 0.001psi resolution.** A: If all you care about is 0.001 psi resolution, then you should be fine with the 2psi version. However, the 0.5psi version does have better resolution, as can clearly be seen in the spec sheet, ie, 0.01mmHg vs 0.1mmHg. So it just depends on your application, but it would be a pretty rare application that requires better resolution that 0.001psi. **Q: Is it intrinicly safe for testing natural gas pressure?** A: No moving parts, and a sealed assembly would lead me to say yes. **Q: This includes nist-traceable calibration certificate?** A: This does not come with the NIST traceable certificate. The Extech part number HD750-NIST will include the cert. **Q: How many decimal places does this unit display to the right of the decimal when using "in wc"?** A: Two. It reads in hundredths of inches water column.
