I thought something must be wrong, but I gave it a try and I'm so glad I did. The size of the pad is larger than I thought it would be and it has a soft side as well as a bumpy side (presumably for exfoliation). I tend to use the soft side as I have sensitive skin. The pads are generously soaked and once applied to the skin, it lathers really well. I then simply rinse it off with warm water and a face cloth and my face feels very clean. And to be honest, I can see the makeup that comes off on the pads. There is a scent but I don't find it obnoxious, it has a fresh clean scent but not overpowering. One word of caution to those of you with sensitive skin, like me. I think using it every day/night is too much for my skin. So I do use a sensitive skin product on the other days.
