The foot print is small but that makes it easy to sit on a surface or desktop off the ground, which is where you will need to it be to obtain maximum benefit. There's a little bit of noise but nothing too distracting or intrusive unless you are using it in an environment where you want silence. Watching a movie, listening to music or playing a PC game, you won't notice the noise, unless you are particularly sensitive. It generates a decent cooling breeze but, obviously, isn't going to compete with a big floor standing fan or AC unit. Overall, a decent bit of kit which does a pretty good job and the price is reasonable

**Q: Please can anyone tell me how to use the different modes? Natural and sleep just go from low to high and back again and nothing else seems to change!**
A: OK, well I've not had a remote or a manual with mine, something I am trying to get sorted out but here is what I have worked out. I think lol.

First off I've no idea what the sleep does at all, it seems to be a milder, less active version of the 'natural' setting. Sleep alters the fan speed now and again from slow to high but as far as I can tell that is all it does.

Natural, now this is an interesting one in itself. I think it is meant to assimilate being outside where a breeze is not a constant and unchanging thing. In this setting it will slow the air down, speed it up, even stop it, it will alter the times that it blows ait in these different states too. It's not really mu cup of tea but that is what it does.

Obviously the simplest one, and the way in which I use mine is the 'bog standard' fan mode, constant speed....simple.

**Q: Is there a way to turn the beeping off? It's obnoxiously loud and completely pointless.**
A: With a screwdriver, a little confidence, and probably a belligerant disregard for any warranty, yeah it's possible to fix this! After you remove the back, you can lift a chip board from behind the display and it's the plastic cylinder thing. I definitely wouldn't attempt to break/pry it off, I squished some putty in the hole to basically mute it.

**Q: Can you turn the display off?**
A: The display turns itself off after 60 seconds of being switched on/changing any settings :)

**Q: What is the energy rating ?**
A: Unfortunately there is no indication as to what energy rating this product is, but the motor used is a 60-watt motor, which is slightly more powerful than the average tower fan motor. This equates to an electricity bill of approximately £0.22 per day, assuming it is run for 24 hours at an energy unit cost of £0.15 per kilowatt-hour. To put that into perspective, it is just slightly less than a typical laptop's adapter output.

This is my third purchase of this fan, they are perfect for my requirements. They take up very little space, give a good level of air flow, although not a quiet as I would like they are quieter than circular fans. Excellent value. This is the third one I have so that should say how good I think they are.
