**Q: So I am currently using this product, but I was wondering why it is labeled as 'culinary quality' while others are not? Is it just for baking?**
A: Culinary quality matcha is a "lower grade" than normal, ceremony grade matcha.  In other words, not QUITE as much painstaking attention is taken to ensure the top-of-the-top, cream-of-the-crop flavour.  Ceremony grade matcha will cost at LEAST $20 an OUNCE, and that's from some general retailer such as Teavana.  Culinary grade doesn't mean it's bad...but sometimes it can be.  Culinary grade is about 6-8 dollars an ounce.  I haven't yet tried this kind, but it's come highly recommended to me. (And no, it isn't just for baking.  It's just...not quite suited for drinking alone.  Not smooth/sweet/fresh enough.  Smoothies, lattes, cookies, ice cream...they should work just fine with this.  Matcha banana smoothies, matcha cookies, and matcha ice cream are heavenly. :D )

**Q: How do I prepare this matcha?**
A: If you're asking about how to prepare it for drinking...You need a chasen (whisk) and little matcha scooping spoon. (see something like: http://www.amazon.com/ThinkBamboo-Cooking-Tea-Whisk-chashaku/dp/B003VSEG7Q/ref=pd_sbs_k_1) The basic idea is that you put a scoop or two (or more) into a bowl, and then add hot water and whisk it vigorously until it becomes foamy, I think. I am no expert, but that's how I do it and it seems to work and taste pretty good. I don't think you have to worry so much about the very precise, ceremonial details with this matcha though as it is culinary grade not ceremonial, but it definitely does the trick!

**Q: In "about the product" it says "made in united states," while the photo of the can clearly says, "product of japan."  what is correct?**
A: The can states in a couple of places that this product is "100% natural green tea powder imported from Japan", it is imported by G.  T. Japan, Inc. in Irvine California and may be repackaged there, I'm not sure.

**Q: Is there a difference between the culinary and universal matcha from this same brand?**
A: there isnt any difference that i noticed. it tastd the same to me.
