It includes five detailed figures and is crafted with precision to satisfy both collectors and hobbyists seeking authentic military models. ## Description In 1938, the German Army decided to develop an armored personnel carrier on the basis of the 3-ton half track (HL-KL-9p). Hanomag Hannoversch Machinenbau (AG) in Hannover was ordered to develop the running gear and Bussing-NAG in Berlin was to develop the superstructure to be armored. Design work was hastened on the model of existing armored cars and a prototype was completed at the end of 1938. The Germans tested the prototype in the Kumahsdorf Proving Ground and accepted it for mass production. Thus was born the Armored Personnel Carrier Hanomag Sdkfz 251/1 which, we may safely say, was a synonym for the German mechanized corps that showed activity in all battlefields throughout the war. ## Features - Kit includes five figures - This kit is 6.5 Inch long - 1/35 Scale Armor ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000WN8AHA | | Adult product | No | | Age Range Description | Baby | | Are Batteries Required | No | | Best Sellers Rank | #470,376 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #471 in Model Figure Kits | | Brand | Tamiya | | Colour | Multicolour | | Country of Origin | Japan | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (1,984) | | Enclosure Material | Plastic | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04950344995394 | | Included Components | Tamiya 35020 1/35 German Hanomag SDKFZ 251/1 Plastic Model Kit | | Item Package Quantity | 1 | | Item Type Name | MODEL KIT | | Item Weight | 299 Grams | | Manufacturer | TAMIYA | | Manufacturer Part Number | TAM35020 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | No Warranty | | Model number | TAM35020 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Occasion | Collectible | | Product Features | tamiya, 1.35, wwii sdkfz. | | Shape | novelty | | Style | German | | Theme | Military | | UPC | 885530350685 885245853532 793625039240 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | | character | Cars | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Baby - **Brand:** Tamiya - **Cartoon Character:** Cars - **Colour:** Multicolour - **Item Weight:** 299 Grams - **Material:** Plastic - **Number of Pieces:** 1 - **Occasion:** Collectible - **Style:** German - **Theme:** Military ## Images ![Tamiya Models German Hanomag SdKfz 251/1 Model Kit,, Multicolor - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41y9BBuThbL.jpg) ![Tamiya Models German Hanomag SdKfz 251/1 Model Kit,, Multicolor - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41B26tJQDdL.jpg) ![Tamiya Models German Hanomag SdKfz 251/1 Model Kit,, Multicolor - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41TPaDsNZ7L.jpg) ![Tamiya Models German Hanomag SdKfz 251/1 Model Kit,, Multicolor - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41kf0R7-acL.jpg) ![Tamiya Models German Hanomag SdKfz 251/1 Model Kit,, Multicolor - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51SkTxPEQSL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: will the German 88mm flak gun attach to the back** A: The SdKfz 251 has a tow pintle that the towed 88 mm FLAK gun can attach to. The most common prime mover for a towed 88 was the SdKfz 7 half track. Larger, more power, and carried more troops and cargo than the SdKfz 251. Tamiya makes a very nice SdKfz 7 kit...... **Q: What version(Ausf.) does this represent?** A: The Tamiya kit is an Sd.Kfz. 251/1 - Schützenpanzerwagen. Standard personnel carrier. **Q: How many pieces in this kit, give/take the 5 figures?** A: This is a classic Tamiya kit from 1973 and includes about 80 pieces including the two vinyl tracks. The four pages of instructions are clearly illustrated and easy to follow. Assembly is easy, so take your time and enjoy the effort. **Q: Hi what is the length, width and height of the model?** A: The SdKfz 251 is about 7 inches long, 2 3/8 inches wide, and about 2 inches high to the top of the hull. The machine gun and shield add about another half inch to that. ## Frequently Bought Together - Tamiya 35020 1/35 German Hanomag SDKFZ 251/1 Plastic Model Kit - Tamiya Models German Pzkfw V Panther Ausf A Model Kit - TAMIYA 35009 1/35 German PZKPFW II Plastic Model Kit for Unisex Adult --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co/products/128750902-tamiya-models-german-hanomag-sdkfz-251-1-model-kit-multicolor](https://www.desertcart.co/products/128750902-tamiya-models-german-hanomag-sdkfz-251-1-model-kit-multicolor) --- *Product available on Desertcart Colombia* *Store origin: CO* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
