It works well and plays just like my original mouthpiece. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent quality *by A***R on November 3, 2025* Replace a broken one with this and they’re identical + this one sounds perfect! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I feel it's an excellent mouthpiece but my band student doesn't like it *by C***T on October 26, 2014* This is an excellent mouthpiece, so I felt the need to give it five stars, but I hope that others will read this review above and beyond the star rating, because my son has had a lot of difficulty playing with this mouthpiece versus the one that came with his clarinet. First of all, the cork on this one made for a very tight fit on my son's clarinet. I actually expected this, as all of the corks on his clarinet were VERY tight when first purchased, and this was easily remedied with some sanding and cork grease. However, for some reason he just has a lot of difficulty getting a good sound with this mouthpiece compared to the one that came with his clarinet. Even using the same reed and ligature. I also played the clarinet since 6th grade, and I don't have a problem with this mouthpiece at all, but I'm sure my son won't be the only one. I purchased this mouthpiece because his original one has a tiny chip on one corner of the mouthpiece, so I thought it would be a good idea to replace it before it became a problem. He's back to using his old mouthpiece, but I decided to keep this one in case the old one eventually gives up the ghost completely. Hopefully he can learn how to play on it should he ever need to. My other son plays sax and I bought him a Yamaha 4C mouthpiece for it and he loves it and plays it much better than the mouthpiece that came with his sax.
