Designed for quick repairs, it offers a 3-5 minute working time and cures to near full strength in 4 hours. Its balanced viscosity allows for excellent penetration and gap filling, making it ideal for dry, low-load applications where speed and reliability matter. ## Description As with any epoxy, for best adhesion roughen any smooth surfaces to provide texture for the adhesive to key into. G/5 does not require clamping pressure as long as contact between parts is maintained during cure. If using clamps, it is best to use minimal clamp pressure to avoid excessive squeeze out resulting in a glue starved joint. The joint will be ready for light service after 15 minutes and cured to near full strength after four hours at room temperature. It will continue to gain strength and toughness with additional cure time. Cured G/5 can tolerate getting wet but it is not intended for items that are continuously damp or wet. It will work well on exterior applications as long as long-term wet/damp conditions are avoided. ## Features - Fast-curing two-part epoxy adhesive – WEST SYSTEM G/5 Five-Minute Adhesive is a convenient epoxy resin and hardener system for quick repairs and general bonding. The simple 1:1 mix ratio requires no pumps and is ideal for fast spot applications. - Bonds a wide range of materials – Adheres to wood, ceramic, metal, fiberglass, glass, leather, stone, plaster, cork, paper, and some plastics, making it useful for household repairs and temporary bonding tasks. - 3–5 minute working time for quick fixes – This fast-curing epoxy provides a short working window before setting, allowing small repairs or positioning parts quickly while standard WEST SYSTEM Epoxy bonds cure. - Balanced viscosity for penetration and gap filling – The adhesive penetrates porous materials while remaining thick enough to bridge small gaps when bonding broken parts or irregular surfaces. - Best suited for dry, low-load applications – G/5 can be modified with WEST SYSTEM fillers, additives, and pigments, but it’s not as waterproof as 105 Resin-based or G/flex epoxies and is not recommended for high-load or moisture-exposed bonds. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B002IZFPR8 | | Best Sellers Rank | #45,300 in Industrial & Scientific ( See Top 100 in Industrial & Scientific ) #56 in Tile Epoxy Adhesives | | Brand | West System | | Brand Name | West System | | Color | Clear | | Compatible Material | Fiberglass | | Container Type | Can | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 259 Reviews | | Full Cure Time | 4 hours | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00811343012410 | | Included Components | Adhesive, 8 fl oz | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Package Quantity | 1 | | Item Type Name | West System G/5 Five Minute Epoxy Adhesive | | Item Weight | 10.4 ounces | | Manufacturer | Gougeon Brothers, Inc. | | Material | Plastic | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model | 865-4 | | Number of Pieces | 2 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Strong,Waterproof | | Part Number | 865-4 | | Special Feature | Strong,Waterproof | | Specific Uses For Product | Craft, Furniture, Repair, Tile Repair, Wall Repair, Woodworking | | UPC | 811343012410 | | Unit Count | 8 Fluid Ounces | | Viscosity Level | Medium | | Volume | 8 fluid ounces | | Water Resistance Level | Waterproof | ## Product Details - **Brand:** West System - **Item Form:** Liquid - **Material:** Plastic - **Special Feature:** Strong,Waterproof - **Specific Uses For Product:** Craft, Furniture, Repair, Tile Repair, Wall Repair, Woodworking ## Images ![West System 865-4 G/5 Five-Minute Epoxy Adhesive, 8 oz | Quick-Cure - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71rTMTUjHIL.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - WEST SYSTEM 865-4 G/5 Five Minute Epoxy Adhesive, 8 fl oz - WEST SYSTEM G/flex Epoxy (2- 4oz) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co/products/12422187-west-system-865-4-g-5-five-minute-epoxy-adhesive](https://www.desertcart.co/products/12422187-west-system-865-4-g-5-five-minute-epoxy-adhesive) --- *Product available on Desertcart Colombia* *Store origin: CO* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
