Can one man safely do it?** A: The tube and fork arms weight 65 pounds and the tripod weighs 20 pounds. I'm 6'-0" tall, 59 years old, and only in average shape for my age. I have safely mounted this scope by myself more than a dozen times since I got it at the end of June 2017. It's certainly not as easy as mounting my 42-pound CPC-800 on its tripod, but I think it's very doable for most men. Even the moon is blurry. Tried different eyepieces ( Luminos and Televue) but no success. Feel like I just wasted $4,000 dollars. The tripod legs will not shorten and you have to stand on a ladder to see through eye pieces. The Allen wrenches supplied do not fit the Allen screws. The directions in all the manuals ( one box with several parts but no directions on what they are for) are either non-existent or impossible to follow.
