This stuff is a money saver! My well water has sulfur and is hard. The water softener is 16 years old. Over the past few years, I have noticed rust stains on some surfaces. I had the water tested and it now contains iron also. Both companies that tested the water, wanted to sell me an iron remover unit to the tune of $1700! I stumbled upon this product while searching Google. I ordered a bottle. What did I have to lose? I ran my 16 year old water softener through 2 cycles back to back two consecutive days.
