Tested it on the rifle range at 100 yards and it measured 100 yards to target which has already been pre-measured. Spotted some cows out in a pasture on the other side of a hill and it ranged them just fine out to 589 yards and I wasn't able to get further away than that and still be able to see them without obstructions. Glass is clear and crisp and reticle is black. ranged a glass skyscraper building in downtown from the river to the south at 2200 yards on a nice clear day. Don't know if that was an accurate range since I cant really measure it with a tape measure but Im betting it was close since google maps shows me to be 1.25 miles away as the crow flies. Pretty darn good rangefinder if you ask me.
