A quality product that fits and supports as advertised
I ordered the Men's 7-8.5 which arrived in 2 days. Out of the box, the orthotics look like they are well built and cushiony. I wear size US 8.5 and they fit in my shoes and hiking boots alike without modification. There is a warning/recommendation to use them one hour per day for the first week and build on that. That worried me a bit and anticipated a period of pain in my future. On the first day, I wore them in my shoes from the time I received them and kept them all day. The next day, I inserted them in my hiking boots and completed a monster hike (4,500 ft vertical and 11.6 miles). At the end I was so sore but my ankles were fine, which meant to me that the orthotics helped with the over-pronation caused by my very flat feet. My feet were also quite sore but this was my first serious hike of the year so maybe no amount of cushion would have helped. I have not had time to experiment with the additional arch supports and I will, but I was really pleased with the stock model. I did not give it full stars because full stars means perfect. I have used off the shelf and custom orthotics all my adult life, and I found these orthotics a bit thick in comparison, which meant that I feel my heel is a little too high in my shoes. No trouble in boots of course. But for this extra amount of cushion, I expected a bit more relief for my feet. I am being picky. Overall, I love them and will continue to experiment with the adjustable arch support to find the sweet spot.

Thank God for these adjustable insoles!
Thank God for these insoles. I have high arches and am in my 50s. The fact that I can build up the arch support with the inserts is what make these a winner for me. I use all 4 inserts at once in my hiking shoe (Keens)...yes you can double up. I use the small and medium together to create the extra support I need. The profile of these insoles work well with a variety of shoes...not just athletic shoes or hikers... I also use them in my Doc Martens boots and Jubu Mary Janes. I highly recommend these insoles. They are worth the money.

Comparable to expensive heat molded orthotics.
I've used more expensive custom orthotics for a number of years. The Foot Chair full length insert is supportive and comfortable. The user adjustable correction is an excellent idea. I would recommend starting with the medium pad inserted, using for a bit to acclimate and then trying either the larger or no pad insert to see if that increases or decreases comfort after a few days. These full length models seem most appropriate to use in shoes with removable insoles to avoid binding at the front of the foot. I was impressed enough with this product to order their 3/4 length designed for dress shoes or shoes without a removable insole.

Ideal for work shoes on hard floor surfaces.
I purchased these for a pair of shoes I was using while working a seasonal retail job. I have high arches, (my footprint looks like someone slapped toes on a banana), so at the end of an eight hour shift the balls of my feet and my heels were really taking a beating. It's a process of acclimating your feet to the inserts, so expect to spend a week or two before you're going to notice a difference, but the manufacturer provides really good email support during the breaking in period. Make no mistake, it is going to feel weird for the first week or so, and this is before you start putting the adjustable pads in to match your arch. It's kind of like standing on a log for a few hours. Odd as it feels, though, it works like a charm for stopping your pain. After the break-in period, I was able to wean myself off Aleve, and while my feet were still a little sore at the end of a shift, it was nothing like "straight to bed, hopped up on painkillers with an ice pack strapped to each foot" feeling I got before trying these. After three months, I felt comfortable enough in these to scale two-story shelving units and pallet stacks. We're going on six months now, and I've started actually removing the soles of other shoes so I can pop these inserts in if I'm going for a walk, etc. These turned a $20 pair of Champion no-slip work shoes into a decent pair of orthotics. I would definitely recommend them. By comparison, I was one of the many who spent way too much on those Dr. Schole's "custom orthotics". These feel better. They're also a far cry cheaper than the "Good Feet Store" and it's $1500.00 insert +maintenance package, which near as I can tell is exactly the same result. If you've got high arches, this is a really nice solution to your constant achy feet.

They Work(ed) for Me
I am terribly flat-footed and my ankles pronate like no one's business. I had my left foot reconstructed because of all the issues associated with my foot condition. I know enough to buy larger and wider shoes to accomodate custom orthotics. Lately, my custom orthotics ($500/pr.) were no longer adequately addressing the over-pronation and, as a result, I experienced pain in my knees, hips, and lower back. I was truly afraid I would need a second surgery to help correct the problem. That's when I thought I'd give these FootChair Orthotics a try and I'm so glad I did! The arch support feels so good and holds my flat feet in a position that allows for minimal ankle pronation. My knee, hip, and lower back pain are practically gone and I'm once again enjoying 5-mile daily walks. Because everyone is different I can't say with confidence they will work for you, but they work for me! UPDATE: I originally rated these 5 stars because they really performed well...until they didn't. I now have severe inflammation of the 4th and 5th tarsometatarsal joint of my right foot as a result of how that foot rests on the orthotic. The arch is just a bit too high for that foot, which is very flat. I'm now back to wearing my tried and true orthotics and the synovitis inflammation is beginning to subside, which is a relief.

I had my doubts but these blew me away
I really wish these were more well known. To write this review I have to give a bit of background. Im so pleased with this product that I want to put in the effort so hopefully others can learn about them as well. I have extremely high arches. Over the last 10 years i’ve had to have 3 pairs of custom orthotics made each were 600$. I’ve seen a different doctor each time. I constantly had to go back for adjustments. Adjustments mean they just add some cloth that has a sticky side to raise the arch higher, they charge 150$ per appointment to add some cloth. I’ve had to go back around 8 times over the last 10 years so that’s 1,200$ for appointments and 1,800$ for the orthotics totaling around 3,000$. I’ve been in a lot of pain. The custom orthotics just never do the trick. Id get to around 7k steps and start to be in pain and at 10k i couldn’t walk anymore and would need a full day off to recoup. This made exercise extremely difficult. My last doctor advised me to… walk less. So this last week I was sick of spending money at doctors and started researching other methods. There’s some stores you can go to for custom orthotics (not doctors) depending on which you go to they range from 600 to 3000$ to have them build you custom orthotics. The 3000$ ones they try to sell you a set of 3. Nothing is refundable. I then came across a post about these foot chair orthotics. Given all the time, money and pain i’ve endured over the years I thought the price made sense to try these out. They…worked… amazingly. Better than the other 3 custom orthotics i’ve had over the years. At first I was very worried because i put them on my table and on the arch i pressed down with my hand and they collapsed rather easily. Obviously under your body weight therefore they would collapse even more. My last doctor told me this was a bad sign, but he is also the one that told me to walk less sooooo… *shrug* However i put them on, and went for a walk. Did 8k steps without pain. Used them a few days later and did 11k steps. No pain. Lets not forget I’ve spent 3000$ over the years. I could have purchased around 66 of these. So honestly I don’t care if they last 55 days and need to be replaced that often. (I have no idea how long they will last yet) Id still mathematically be saving money though. Which is mind blowing. So give these a try. They are for sure worth it. And I hope others find the relief I did in such an amazing product.

Life improving product
The headline might sound a tad dramatic, but if you suffer from plantar fasciitis, then you know that anything that helps with the pain, can truly improve your life. Below are two options: short version and long version of my review. If you don't care about detailed explanation about ratings, then the 1st option is for you. SHORT VERSION: I have already purchased this product twice and will probably do it a 3rd time. It's awesome. Would definitely recommended, because it works. LONG VERSION: I have suffered from plantar fasciitis for several years now. I am in my early 50's and have tried several things like special running shoes, other pads and the like. My wife and I started a food related business a couple of years ago and this aggravated my condition, since I had to be standing/moving around the whole day (as opposed to a desk job). It came to a point where I could barely walk without limping. After doing some research I found these pads and decided to give them a try. Pricing.- Not necessarily "cheap", but the price is not bad, specially considering they actually work and how much they help me. Customer Service.- Phenomenal. On my first order, being the idiot that I am, I threw away the pads to adjust the height of the soles. They come in a small transparent bag, separate from the soles, and somehow I missed them. I got in touch with the manufacturer (through the Amazon contact information) and asked if they would sell me just the pads because I didn't want to pay for a new full set. Instead, they sent me replacement pads free of charge. Thanks, guys! Durability.- I would presume this will change depending on usage, but they are good for several months, if not a full year. After that you may want to buy a new set to keep the same quality of comfort. Comfort.- (Speaking of) The manufacturer recommends you take out the original sole of the shoe. This is standard with most, if not every single orthopedic sole I've seen. I say give it a try, because it will depend on the brand of the shoe. The sole per se is very comfortable and the fact that you can adjust the height of the soles is a great idea. I personally use 1 pad on one shoe and 2 pads on the other. This of course will depend on each person, as you may only need 1 & 1, or just the sole on one foot and 1 pad on the other, etc. That's about it. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me directly. These soles REALLY helped me and hopefully it will help you too, because I know how annoying and painful plantar fasciitis can be. Cheers!

If your hoping to work all day in these then it’s best to pass on these!
These started out okay but after about 3 weeks I was experiencing increasing foot discomfort. After the 3rd week the pain was intolerable. I chalked it up to long days at work but I’ve had long days before. I remembered adding this to my boots earlier and replaced them with some Soles Footbeds and the pain was gone, even after a 10 hour day on my feet. If you spend all day on your feet in work boots like I do then it’s in your best interest to skip these, trust me your feet will not forgive you.

Good for achy feet
Got these for running. I have flat feet that get sore after running. This definitely helps with the pain and recovery time for my feet after runs. They are comparable to the custom orthotics in my opinion
