Joyce Chen 2-Tier Bamboo Steamer Baskets, 10-Inch

A well-made bamboo steamer with good overall quality. It’s very convenient and easy to use, made from nice materials, and feels sturdy. The instructions are clear and straightforward, so there were no issues getting started. Great value for the price and quality.

First of all? This was packaged and delivered perfectly. They used a pleasant feeling thin, 6 foot "rope" to carefully, cleverly, and beautifully hold the steamer together securely. Even better? NO KNOTS! With one pull of the woven rope/string, the steamer was released. It was delightful, showing care for the product and the customer. My second immediate thought is how well it was made compared to my old steamer from years ago. The older one worked fine, but was made of thin bamboo, kind of woven inside on the trays themselves. The best word would be flimsy looking and feeling. It still WORKED, but it was unattractive and looked hastily assembled. This Joyce Chen steamer? Was just beautiful looking, inside and out, using thicker bamboo, and the trays were much sturdier. Frankly, I was delighted by the entire "receiving" experience of this steamer. Care for the customer was obvious, something I see in videos about, for example, Japan, but rarely seen in local manufacturing. It also came with sensible care instructions. I haven't written a review in a few years. I did for this product, because, not only was I delighted? They inspired care reciprocated. I haven't used it yet, but I'm very familiar with using bamboo steamers, and I'm positive it will work beautifully. Love this.

I bought this 2-tier bamboo steamer for my mom, and she absolutely loves it! The quality is excellent—sturdy, well-made, and easy to clean. She’s used it for dumplings, buns, and vegetables, and everything cooks evenly with that nice, authentic steamed flavor. The two tiers make it easy to cook different foods at once, which she really enjoys. It’s such a beautiful, practical gift that adds a traditional touch to her kitchen. Highly recommend!

a fairly simple bamboo steamer that works very well in my wok. the build quality is good for the price and maintaining it is simple enough. the 10in fits great in my 14in wok and steams dumplings well

Great Quality! Better Construction and Larger than anticipated!

I wanted to find a different way to cook vegetables because mine were always bland. Everyone was telling me steaming was the way to go, and I bought this one because of the price tag. It is phenomenal! I have steamed broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, asparagus, salmon, and beef in it. They all turned out awesome. Pros: -Easy (I put whatever I want -Quick (Cook times range from 5-20 minutes. Veggies are done in 5-8, and the salmon was even done at 10.) -Heatlhy (Steaming retains more nutrients than boiling or microwaving) -Great tasting (I thought people were just mouthing off, but the vegetables were noticeably better tasting, and I kid you not, the salmon was the best I've ever had!) Cons: -Probably won't last a long time (For the price though, it's really not an issue) -You have to line the trays (I prefer to use big leaves of lettuce, but I have also used wax paper, and even put the salmon in on a small plate) Other thoughts: 10 inches isn't that big when you want to steam a whole meal for 2 people and still leave room for the steam to escape around the edges. However, this size fits my pan, and they are stackable, so I'm going to buy another set to double the trays! I wish it came with a recipe book or steam times because sometimes I'm not sure how long to cook things. Before cooking your meats/veggies, try rolling them in butter or oil and experiment with different herbs. My favorite thing to do is to use broth instead of water in the pan, it adds some extra flavor. You can also throw other things in like garlic cloves or onions.

The two tiers were fantastic; I was able to cook shrimp dumplings in one basket and some vegetables in the other at the same time, which saved a lot of time. The bamboo absorbed the right amount of steam, and the heat was very consistent throughout the entire cooking process."

Used this with excellent results. Read the instructions first because I placed too much water in my pan and it did mess up my first layer. The second layer was excellent and just as expected.

Muito bom. Bonito e bem acabado. Funciona perfeitamente. Retem o vapor durante todo o cozimento. Recomendo. Fiz pão chinês e gruda um pouco. Estou comprando esteiras perfuradas de silicone, redondas, para evitar isso. Não sei se tem algum outro recurso.

Tamaño adecuado, buen grosor del papel, son útiles también en otro tipo de vaporeras como las de silicón. Me siento satisfecha

Bought this and love the baskets. They work really well for cooking vegetables and gyoza particularly. Put baking paper in to cook gyoza or bao buns and came out really nicely. Can recommend this product.
