Very nice wide thick jar. Perfect for my sour dough starter. Lid fits air tight.

I bought this to replace an identical jar that my husband uses for kefir. He had inherited the previous jar from his mother years ago, and only needed to replace it because he had lost one of the metal pieces. We were delighted to find the same jar again! It seals securely, is easy to clean, and lasts forever.

Looks like a great jar unfortunately I received a 101 1/2 ounce jar rather than 33 1/2 ounce jar. (Amazon warehouse problem not product). Must be very durable it was shipped in a craft paper envelope rather than a box and survived.

Tight fitting lid. I use it to ferment buttermilk. I'm trying to quit using plastic as it can leach into food especially acidic. Glass is safer and this is a thick jar that probably won't break easily.

Great jar for my sourdough starter. Gives it room to grow but seals tightly so it doesn’t grow mold.

Carefully well-packaged! Inside the shipping box, the 33-3/4 ounce Bormioli Fido Rocco rubber sealed jar is wrapped and taped in multiple layers of bubble wrap. The jar is "square cornered" - meaning that its shape is not round. Inside the jar is a white seal to place around the rim of the lid. The quality of the jar seems to be excellent. However, I was hoping for a close match to the one that I currently use. Compared to this Bormioli jar, mine is round and shorter. The opening to my jar appears to be wider than this one. Thus, because of the increased height and narrower opening, I'll have to find a different use for this jar.

Sehr gute Qualität, dickwandig und luftdicht. Ich habe 2 Gläser, eines für Kaffeepulver und eines für Mehl. Der Preis für 2 Gläser ist schon hoch, sie werden aber auch im Set angeboten, dann sind sie günstiger.
