Super good caliper.
Compared several calipers before buying this one. Works really well and holds its "zero". Like the ability to measure in both standard and metric. Good carrying case as well. Very satisfied with this tool and was well priced.

Good value for hobbyists
I was worried this was going to be as bad as another digital caliper I had ordered because it looked nearly identical to it, but was pleasantly surprised when it worked like a charm. Not to mention, it felt significantly heavier and nicer with the stainless steel body. So far it has been great and within +- 0.01mm.

Decent budget caliper with minor problems
UPDATE 2: They apparently mailed a replacement caliper to my old address from the original order, but because I moved it got returned to them and they finally reached out to ask for my current address—a month later. I didn’t even realize they were sending me a whole new caliper. Not complaining (giving back a star), but better communication would’ve helped. Original review stands, it's a solid budget caliper. UPDATE: I emailed them about the issue, and they asked for a video and the order invoice. I provided both but have been ghosted for nearly two weeks now—no reply at all. On the bright side, I figured out the issue was the battery and not the caliper itself. For hobby 3D printing, this caliper is precise enough. However, compared to my iGaging caliper, the jaws are less precisely constructed, and the body is made of plastic. It’s nearly impossible to get accurate readings without the digital display. The supplied battery lasts about a year (less with heavy use). There’s no clear sign the battery is dying until the digital display starts acting up: numbers bounce around randomly without touching the calipers, the buttons make things worse, and the power button stops working. A fresh battery fixes this, but it’s an annoying quirk. Overall, this is a solid budget option for hobby use or occasional tasks. Just make sure to have spare batteries on hand—they’re cheap and will save you some frustration.

Accurate without the headache
NEIKO 01407A Electronic Digital Caliper (0–6" Stainless Steel) Still new, so long-term durability will tell the full story—I’ll update if anything changes. But first impressions are very good. It has a nice, solid weight to it, the adjustment is smooth, and it’s simple to use—you don’t need a degree to figure it out. I checked it against known specs, and it was spot on with its measurements. The included case is a nice bonus too and should help keep it in good condition over time. Overall: Accurate, easy to use, and feels like a quality tool right out of the box.

Project farm was right
These are a good budget set of calipers, I bought these based on a project farm video and was not disappointed. They have been very useful around the shop for measuring diameters and depths. I plan to buy another set to keep in the work toolbox because they are a good value and are pretty smooth and accurate.

Highly inaccurate with non-repeatable readings (which change with no motion of the slide by the way)
I ***HOPE*** that I got a lemon, and it's a titanic lemon at that. First it arrived on and running in the box. The values on the dial were changing continually to random numbers. The reset button had no effect (as I later found out) also dd the in/mm button. So after learning that the reset button was useless, I removed the battery and gave the unit a minute or two "to relax" in case there was a small charge left in its circuits. Then (after 10 minutes actually) I replaced the battery, and was surprise that the unit turned on immediately (although I had very carefully avoided touching the on/off switch). Surprisingly the same random displays started up immediately but this time after using the reset (clear?) button several times and then holding it down for about 30 seconds, the weird behavior stopped and left me with a set of random digits that meant nothing that I could imagine. So I (a) removed the battery, (b) cleaned the unit thoroughly removing any oil/grease/water/dust/pollen/whatever from the unit (just in case) and put a second new battery in it and turned it on. It initially showed a random value but the reset button seemed to work (that was wrong but i hadn't figured that out yet). When it turned on I made sue (using the thumb wheel) that the caliper was pushed back in to the "0" position and hit the reset button. It then showed -0.03" (I didn't write down the last digit ... sorry), but after 5 (yes FIVE) resets it finally showed 0. So I tried to use it. I have a set of calibrated 1-2-3 set-up blocks (1"x2"x3" certified as accurate to withing +/- 0.0005") and none of the measurements was anywhere near the values the caliper should have shown. Specifically the 3" side showed as being first 5.9... inches then suddenly 1.23.. inches then some other random number. The other two sides were measured with equal inaccuracy. So why go on? Because I'm a retired physicist and I'm used to dealing with things that "don't behave in a rational way." [ever hear about quantum mechanics? Yes, it's that illogical.] To make a long story short the reading were random and they changed of their own volition while the caliper was sitting on a desk and nobody was touching it. I tried it with three different batteries, and the results were NOT all the same - no instead they were all equally, randomly incorrect. I sincerely expect that this is just a bad unit. But my last calipers were a really cheap set from Igaging (made of plastic at that) BUT those are still working just fine and with completely accurate, repeatable results (I still have an older manual set that may have come over on the Mayflower but is still highly accurate - I just prefer digital for ease of reading. But it's great for checking accuracy - and it and the plastic Igaging set always agree to with the limit of my eyesight (sorry - a magnifying glass and a bright light helps). So i will be returning this unit and am going to buy another set. But you can safely bet you life savings that i will not be buying another set from NEIKO Because this unit was so unreliable and inaccurate, I cannot recommend it to anyone who doesn't simply want a strangely-shaped paper weight. From my experience it is definitely not a good purchase.

These calipers are very good and accurate!
These calipers are very good and accurate, especially for the price. Easy to use and read, and they’ve been reliable so far. Great value, I'm very happy with this purchase!

Beats the heck out of trying to use a ruler.
Lets be clear: This is the NEIKO model 01401A, six inch, stainless steel, digital caliper with extra large LCD display. It comes with a sturdy plastic, utilitarian case, a mini screwdriver, the instructions and ONE battery (installed). Nowhere in the product description, instructions or on the box is there mention of a spare battery. HOWEVER, the product description says the battery is an LR44 where the box and instructions state the battery is a CR2032. I opened the battery compartment to verify and found the battery to be the CR2032.. The caliper itself looks, feels and performs like a quality piece of equipment. All the buttons work smoothly as described and the thumb wheel IS a bit loose in operation but not at all annoying. There is a fraction/decimal equivalence chart on the back. Usefulness is doubtful especially as the print is VERY small. The instructions appear simple and straightforward. Keeping them handy with the tool would be a good idea as accessing the battery compartment to make a change IS NOT INTUITIVE nor are the instructions completely clear. Once the screws are removed (carefully, they were tight), the directed movement of the thumb wheel is minimal. THEN, the entire back lifts away enough to free the battery tray which can be removed with your finger nail. On reassembly, I put a small drop of silicon grease on the screw threads to ease any future removal. The typical home user, hobbyist, and do-it-yourselfer will likely find this exceeds your needs or expectations. I feel that I should have gotten one YEARS ago. Addendum: There is an undocumented USB-C located on the top edge of the tool. An email sent to Neiko concerning it's use / purpose has been acknowledged but not yet replied to.
