I've used many NVCTs, but this one is my choice to bring to work. Reliable. Illuminates so that you know it's powered on. Lights up red and produces an audible beeping when voltage is detected. Very accurate...it can distinguish between multiple wires that are close together. As far as these testers go, this one is my first choice. When I work around potentially energized circuits, I always keep this tool in my pocket. I'm a full-time licensed electrician.

I am careful with electricity... this is not the primary way I check for safe circuits. I use this as a secondary check to make sure I am not missing something (like two breakers powering a single box). It works well, and gives me confidence that I didn't overlook something. My only complaint is that the "power-off" beep is the same as the beep for when a hopt wire is detected. Invariably, I will confirm that a box is safe using this tool. and toss it in my toolbox. As I am working on the wires, I will hear the tool do a power-down beep, and my heart will skip a beat thinking that somehow something is "hot". Other than that, it's a great little tool, and I have two so I am never without one.

I love this tool for finding live wires for electrical work. I give four stars instead of five because the one button control is fiddly and seems not to work sometimes. Too much functionality behind that one button. I would buy replacement from Klein if they made it more straight forward to power on/off, mute, and toggle low voltage detection.

Kline products are an industry standard. A non-contact voltage detector is a must have for any household doing minor household repairs. These are very easy to use. Always test for voltage before you touch or repair. A safety must have.

I bought this to test for bad leds on outside light strings. On the 12 volt setting, it works like a charm. Also handy for testing doorbell circuits or low voltage outside lighting. Of course the 120 volt setting is great for house wiring Issues and to see if a circuit is live or not. This was exactly what I would expect from a Klein tool. Works just like I hoped it would.

Klein Tools are an American Brand akin to Fluke in the UK - A good start. Amazon sold and despatched - Best and most reliable way of buying from Amazon - Another plus point IMO. Not the cheapest as so many Chinese copies out there at half the price but, again IMHO this is WELL WORTH the extra. It arrived next day via Prime (in basic Amazon packaging but very sturdy moulded plastic covering from the manufacturer). It works really well, good level of sensitivity differentiating easily where cables are close together. Worked straight out of the 'box' having inserted the AAA batteries and hasn't missed a beat so far. It has an auto switch off to conserve the batteries which is so useful. My previous Maplin tester had a small torch built into the end which was actually useless and, as I don't work in the dark, hardly something I miss. So far definately so good. It also seems pretty robust and Klein even claim it should survive a a drop of a couple of metres. All in all, a nice usefull piece of kit at a fair price. Edit: Don't know what Amazon have done to the picture resolution, the instruction sheet which gave detailed info of it's capabilities had a resolution of 4677 x 3307 when I posted it - ah well !

Gostei muito antes de efetuar a compra pesquisei muito, sobre a marca e o modelo, recomendo na minha opinião superou a fluke, em caneta teste de tensão.
