Works really well, if you have any drilling to do this stuff makes the job go easier.

Outstanding!! Preserved drill bits sharpness and produced nice drill holes in short under. Also helped in drilling and tapping 8 drill holes in enclosed trailer frame to mount four stabilizers. The down side in using this cutting oil..as with any drilling/tapping/cutting fluid….it will smoke due to dissipating heat. But it’s what this fluid dies…keeps the heat down and allows drills/taps to do their function. Those metal flakes from drill bits are hot!! And it’s to be expected. I am impressed!

I've used this fluid for many years in the shop for slow hand tap and die work. It works great. When tapping on the lathe I use Cool Tool fluid as it seems to give an easier smoother thread cut at the higher speeds. I can recommend Tap Magic for slow speed thread cutting on mild steel, brass, and aluminum. It works on stainless as well but the slower you go the better it works. I prefer the metal can because it has a larger footprint and doesn't tip over as easily as the taller plastic bottle does. Apparently the steel can is being discontinued as I received the plastic bottle. As we are trying to decrease the amount of plastic we are using, it seems goofy to put this product in a plastic bottle instead of the biodegradable steel can that has worked just fine for 50 years.

When you drill or thread and see the metal curl come out smoothly, without jerks, that’s when you know the oil is doing a great job.

I used it to drill out a broken bolt in my engine. I broke and dulled about 7 drill bits. None broke once I used the oil. Thanks for a good price on a quality product.

Great price, I didn't need a huge bottle and won't need much nor will i use it alot so I gave this brand a shot. It worked great and didn't take much at all to keep my drill bit and my 1964 window vent frame safe. I will buy this again in like 2035 when this bottle runs out.

Needed some cutting fluid, saw the new bottle listed and then saw this one- liked the old metal can so bought this one without reading the comments- my mistake- this comes in the new red plastic bottle- not the cool vintage can. Still like the cutting fluid, works great, just not the cool vintage tin
