Have purchased this engine filter multiple times. While I don’t really shouldn’t need to change it that often because I drive only 4000 miles a year, I was surprised how dirty the filter had gotten. I really recommend you change it every 6,000 miles regardless of what Fram says. Take a look at your filter a few times a year and just change it when dirty. I live in the Phoenix area and the desert winds and farms kick up a lot of sand and dirt. So our air quality is ugly and the air filters get dirty fast. It’s an easy change and takes a couple of minutes. So do your engine a favor by changing these air filters often. You’ll be glad you listened to my advice and your gas mileage will improve enough to offset that filter cost. Fram filters really trap the dirt and dust that destroys car engines if not replaced regularly.
