Just what I was looking for
Perfect phone for me, the screen is small but fine if using swipe text, The size of the display stops my constant casual web browsing like on my old smartphone and limits me to looking at what I need to know. You can watch video no problem though. the NFC feature is really useful. Battery life is good, I charged it overnight 13 hours ago, used it for 2.5 hours streaming music and texting and still have 50% left. I love the size, so easy to fit in my pocket, I can stream my music while running and in the car etc no problem. at all, The usual Apps work fine so its reduced my smartphone use but kept me connected. the IP68 rating is great for the beach life in Cornwall. I did try the Nokia 800 tough before this but sent it back due to being so slow and glitchy, this phone is twice the price but worth every penny.

Fabulous little phone.
I bought the Jelly 2 which had software issues. Unihertz advised me to buy the Atom and I am pleased I did. It is as fast and does everything my Galaxy A8 did. The fingerprint reader is a bit iffy but the face recognition works well. It is small for shopping but I have a mediapad at hope for that, the typing is difficult, fat thumbs and a small screen! But the talk to text works quite well for sms and Whatsapp . The battery lasts the day. If you're sick of large phones this is a great alternative.

I love it. Not for everyone
This is great for my needs. I've been resisting having a smartphone for years because a) they're massive and I can't be bothered carrying one and b) I know I'll end up scrolling endless nonsense and wasting hours. The Atom is tiny and fits in all my pockets with ease; it does everything any other smartphone can do so is great for messaging, maps, checking emails etc. But it is quite a faff to use so I've not been tempted to do any casual browsing. Keyboard is fiddly but predictive text does most of the work for you. I get 2-3 days out of the battery depending on use, but I have turned the brightness down, battery saver settings on, and I switch the phone off at night. Camera is fine for snapping this and that, probably not going to win any photograohy prizes with it. The only thing that's really annoyed me is that once every few days, it shuts down for seemingly no reason whatsoever and has to be manually restarted. So if you're waiting for a life-changing call, maybe don't trust the Atom to be there for you! (Or just keep a really close eye on it)

Sufficient little phone
I bought this to try and reduce my use of social media, and will be reviewing this phone in that context. It has cut my social media use down consiserably. The screen is so small it's unpleasant to browse (especially Facebook) and I feel considerably less existential despair. Typing is a bit of a pain with such a tiny screen, so I've switched to using voice to text. Again, this is a plus for me as I'm spending less time on my phone but it is an annoyance. Phone itself has survived several drops and being hung up under a soaking wet life jacket. I haven't dropped it in the sea yet, but will update when that inevitably happens (might be a river but it will get submerged eventually!) I've been able to install and use both of my banking apps, audible, spotify, messenger, whatsapp, and my phone provider app. It is slow, but again that os a plus as I'm trying to use my phone less. Works fine with via bluetooth with both my car and headphones. Camera isn't great but it's sufficient for photographing receipts for expenses and the odd landscape. The battery life could be better; if I listen to music at work it won't last the whole day without a charge. But if I'm not actively using it I get a couple of days out of it. So, acceptable. Overall, as a not-quite dumb phone it works really well and I'm very happy with it.

Good - But flawed
Do not buy - the phone is good, however the rubber coating peels off after time. This is a well known issue with the phone that Unihertz are not acknowledging. It can't be glued as the rubber loses shape, as per the photo. You can see lots of examples of the phone coating coming off on their facebook group. It's a shame because otherwise the phone is decent (after software updates).

Just a bit too small to be practical
Really wanted to like this phone. I'm a fan of small phones. The one I currently use now is called "King King Mini" ironically and would be perfect if it had a fingerprint reader and NFC. That's where the Atom came in. It checked all the boxes... Tiny, fingerprint, NFC as well as everything else expected. The main problem is that it's just TOO small to be usable. Many apps do not scale properly on the tiny screen. I couldn't even install Google authenticator on it because the confirm button wasn't on screen and couldn't be accessed. Battery life was good enough and the thing weighs a ton, which on the end of a lanyard would make an excellent self defence device. I just couldn't get on with the overly tiny screen. It started to give me headaches trying to read the tiny text on webpages. I sent it back in the end and bought a ticwatch to pair with my current phone as it was cheaper than the atom and gave me the NFC that I wanted. A niche product that will appeal to some but just too small to be practical.

Our 7yo son has Type 1 diabetes and uses this phone as a Dexcom CGM monitor. It is small enough that it fits nicely into his pocket, and seems to be built well. It has already withstood a couple of drops and the general rough play you would expect from being attached to a 7yo boy 24/7. We had to disable a bunch of the battery saving features that are switched on by default (the power saving stuff caused it to lose connection to the Dexcom CGM when it went on standby) but it easily lasts a full day and gets plugged in to charge at night. We bought this to replace a bulky samsung (the smallest one we could find which was huge by comparison to the Atom) which was a replacement for a succession of iphone 6's. It's been a few weeks now and it's been rock solid. Recommended.
