Wow... im truly in AWE! This book I resonated with it so well. The author truly captures every growth and attack. This book will keep you wanting to keep reading. I envisioned myself at "much afraid" and grew as she did. I highly highly recommend this book to everyone.

Excellent read! Relates so vividly to our own personal fears and struggles as we journey through our Christian experience, striving the reach the Kingfom of Love where God Himself abides!

A friend gave me this book for Christmas and I finished it within a week and a half. It was such a timely book for the season of life that I’m in and it was a great read to close out 2025 to begin anew in 2026. 2025 was a hard year not only for us but for a lot of our loved ones as well. I cried just reading the introduction! The way my friend described this book, and I tend to agree with her, is that this book gave her words to her interior life that she didn’t know she needed. Again, I agree with her wholeheartedly with that. Read it. Buy it for a friend, so that friend can buy it for another friend. We call can relate to Much Afraid.

From the start of the book I was engaged. It was like I was reading my own journey with Jesus and He was calling me up higher too. With the turn of every page, I experienced the love of Jesus. I couldn’t put the book down and finished it within two days, bought copies for friends and will encourage others to read it and receive the simple truths and the deep love of God that can be found as you read it.

This book is life changing. Excellent read! Don't get it unless you want to be transformed and transported to the throne of God!

I like the fact that this book shows me that change is possible if you allow Jesus to do so. If we are willing and obedient there is no telling what God can do to mold you into perfection and allow to enjoy unspeakable joy and peace.

I heard about this book through a women's program and am glad I read it. It's a bit repetitive at times but overall a good story and includes a bit of the author's testimony and POV about love.

This is the most wonderful little book that I have ever read. Brilliantly written by Hannah Hurnard. It is a book which has meant a lot to me over the years. I will not reveal the story here because it isn't fair to those wanting to read it.I laughed, cried and felt her fears and happiness throughout. When I first opened and read the very first chapter, I identified with Much Afraid in every way. I walked with her through the valleys and deserts, and the lessons she learnt from the Great Shepherd was rewarded with a small stone which she collected. As strange as it is, even before I knew of this book, I too had found stones of various kinds, beautiful, craggy and crystalled, after the things I too learnt from the Great Shepherd, our Lord and Saviour Jesus. I have even started to write a blog (a word I do hate using), based around the stones and lessons learnt. A book I have recommended to many others and they too have found speaks volumes to them. Thank you Hannah Hurnard for such a wonderful gift!

A friend gifted this book to me years ago when I suffered full body whiplash from a truck hitting my car from behind. I was in terrible pain for over 2 years, almost landed in a wheelchair...but I worked super hard in physio therapy, eventually swam 100 laps a day and was determined to get my life back again. I was angry and bitter with God...why did He allow such a painful trial in my life? I got addicted to pain killers and could not function without them....my life was a nightmare. This book Hinds Feet on High Places, helped me understand why God allows us to suffer sometimes, and how sorrow can give us strength to make it to the mountain top, and beyond ! I finally got my life back...my body healed, I got rid of my addiction to prescription painkillers too. Years later, another tragedy hit...I grabbed this book and read it again...helped me survive another nightmare....Life is like that....scary ups and downs....but I learned to praise God for everything ! I highly recommend this awesome book to everyone !
