Pilot Rock 30" Commercial Park Campfire Ring

This thing is built solid! Metal, Metal, Metal. The finish seems to be holding up so far, not much rain this summer in the PNW, but suspect even if the paint eventually burns off, this fire ring will outlast me and my unborn children. Made in the USA too, so I was happy to support this company. Did I mention it's METAL? Rock solid metal! Definitely a good investment. PROS: - Steel Metal! - Heavy and will stay in place - Made in the USA - Actual craftsmanship CONS: - You'll probably never get the pleasure of shopping for another one - No Wifi connectivity and doesn't run on Alexa, mostly because it's just SOLID STEEL!

Very sturdy ring. This one is 7 gauge steel 3/16 inch. The Titan ring is only 10 gauge steel. To make the fire pit: 12 stones all the way around. 3 tiers high was 36 blocks (4in x 11in flagstone retaining wall block) $2.38 a piece from big box hardware inc. Flattened the ground, dug down an inch or so, placed the rocks around the pit as we built it up. Took about an hour and a half and that includes the trip to get the blocks. Burned a great fire in it the first night and it snowed the next day.

It's not the exact one you see at the parks but it's close. Very easy to assemble (2 basic nuts) takes literally a minute. This should last a good long time

just what i wanted

Having spent a great deal of time visiting and camping in National and State parks we wanted a grill and fire ring that gave us both memories and the durability that we had experienced in the parks. This arrived super fast and was easy to assemble. We have set it in pea gravel and river rocks as a permanent installation at the bottom of our yard. We are delighted and "christened" it immediately. It is excellent.

I bought a fire pit insert which does not have the Pilot Rock badging on the outside, nor does it have the hairpins for setting into cement. My bad. I saw the photo with the Pilot Rock badge and thought it was the same as I've purchased before. This is an insert, designed for placing into a architecturally designed firepit.

I was looking for something heavy duty and without bolt together ring segments, and this was just the ticket. Don't know about it's longevity but certainly expect it to last much longer than the much cheaper units. Very happy with this unit.

We're very pleased with this. My husband is a welder and was pleased with the quality of the product. I want to try Dutch oven cooking in a fire, and this is perfect for that purpose, and also for a frying pan or making coffee. If we have a power outage, we won't need to worry about running out of propane for the camp stove. Evenings in our yard enjoying a fire at home will be nice, too.
