Rivoli Beadwork

When it comes to beading books, I vastly prefer more diagrams than written instructions & this book has it!! I love that the book is large....as such, the diagrams (which are on almost all the pages) are super clear & easy to understand!! The book only discusses rivolis. As a result, the author is able to present a vast assortment of different materials & designs simply for rivolis! Could not be more pleased...now I feel calmed down about trying to use rivolis!! Thank you Jean!!!!!

I have only given Jean Powers’ book, Rivoli Beadwork a brief look, but I just have to say this is one of the best beadwork books to come out in a long time. Richly illustrated with large clear photos that show the beads and beautifully executed illustrations to build the piece. Make sure not to skip the basics section, which is clear and concise, and you will have no trouble following Jeans directions. There are variations of each type of design, so possibilities are literally endless. This book allows one to hit the stash and pull some rivolis, beads and thread and create magical bezeled rivolis all on your own with Jean’s copious help. Now, go order it!

Another superb book from Jean Power, full of inspiration, imagination, innovation, and clear directions and illustrations. Jean is a wonderful teacher and answers questions before they appear. As an experienced beader I found it useful, interesting, and very informative. That's a lot of "i" but in this case it fits! Definitely a keeper for my best-books shelf.

I like this book because you can create the projects as they appear, or just use certain parts of them in your own designs. There are clear, large photos and diagrams that show you exactly how to do the various techniques.

A wonderful compilation of patterns that will make all beaders want to forget jobs or housework and sit and bead! The problem will be to choose which project to begin with! As always, Jean's designs are super and her instructions are the best!

another well written book by a great, innovative teacher and artist. i enjoy her writing and her projects. if you cannot take one of Jean's classes in person, this is a nice substitute. her pieces are always designed to allow personal expression and variations on the project theme, makes the work even more fun and rewarding.

I really like the projects in this book. Some of them are unusual and they are using my favorite Swarovski Crystals. I am looking forward to making the pendant on the front cover, a good use of heart crystals.

I love this book. It has exactly what i was looking for: clear instructions, design ideas, and a focus on bezeling rivolis. I doubt one will find many of these as used books because it's a keeper.

The detail and scope of this book is amazing. Jean’s exceptionally clear instructions and diagrams, together with her suggestions for variations and developments will spark your imagination. This book is stuffed full of beautiful ideas for jewellery that will tempt you to learn new techniques and stitches. Jean also gives lots of advice and tips to make your beading easier and speedier.

Me ha gustado mucho este libro, explica muy bien como engarzar rivolis de distintos tamaños y hacer distintos modelos de collares, pulseras, etc, lo aconsejo es muy buen libro.

Livre conforme à mes espérances et tout à fait ce que je recherchais.
