Better than expected.
I bought this for an old hard hat I had, but the chin strap was missing. This strap fit perfect and works well.

Simple Adjustable Elastic Chin Stap for a Hard Hat
Too many hard hats were blowing off of heads when a gust of wind hit the piers, and the hard hats ended up in the river never to be seen again. So, management now requires we use chin straps for our hat hats - and if we lose a hard hat - we will pay for a new one. To my surprise this adjustable elastic chin strap is comfortable, light weight, and easy to adjust in place and use. Just make sure your hard hat has the correct hook holes to allow installation of this chin strap.
