This cage works PERFECTLY with my BMPCC4k! Over the years that I've owned this cage, my camera has accidentally fallen once from a tripod and luckily this cage took the brunt of the force. It SAVED my camera! SMALLRIG offers so many high-quality attachments like grips or mounts that can be added to the cage as well. There are plenty of screw holes to make this into whatever build you need for a shoot and is a must-have for anyone with a BMPCC4k. I wish it was a little cheaper, but for the build quality, you can't complain much. Would DEFINITELY purchase again.

I really love how this cage has its own L wrench that is magnetized to stay in place. Very helpful when your on the go and your not by your tools to. Very easy to set up and its very durable. Theres lots of room to expand on it and i personally like how the cage adds to the feel of the camera. almost as if its adding more comfortable grip to the camera. Only CON that i see with the cage is that it does protect the camera 100% some area stick out more than other or flushed around the edges. This isnt a deal breaker by any means. Solid piece of purchase.

If you are looking... pause and buy this now! I have three BMD cameras and each have this cage for accessories. The mounting points for rigging options is astounding. I’m glad the price point is low because the accessories that can be mounted tends to add up. Grab an SSD holder, and a top handle for starters. After that, the world is yours... but you need this cage to be a make the most of the camera system (in my opinion). You can add hand grips, articulating arms, cable clamps, cold shoe mounts (mics, monitors, transmitters, converters...). The next phase of your production life starts with THIS. Go for it! BKYLE_

First off, if you're wondering about getting a cage for the BMPCC 4k the answer is 100% YES. You need to rig this camera up to get the benefit of its crazy specs. Anywho, this cage does exactly what a cage should do - allows for dozens of configurations of accessories thanks to multiple screw mounts and cold shoes while still allowing access to the essential ports on the camera. Want to completely rig out the camera for professional shoots? Done! Need a low profile look that can still fit into your camera bag? Done! There is a tiny bit (like, maybe 2-3 degrees) of play between the camera body and the cage on the x-axis going side-to-side, but that's not something will affect how you shoot. The metal of the cage is sturdy and should protect the majority of the camera body should you drop it, too. The only slight flaw I have with the cage is that it doesn't have as many mounting points as it could, but that's a small quibble. Don't hesitate to give this a go, the price is right and the quality is undeniable.

I like SmallRig products, but I was honestly surprised how much I liked this cage. I had been looking at another more expensive brand, but ultimately I chose this for its form factor and the mounting points. Cages aren't always meant for the handheld handling of a camera, but this actually dramatically improves the experience. And in my opinion, if you want to mount the BMPCC4K to a gimbal, this is *the* way to do it. (The camera does not have the greatest anti-rotation options and this solves all of those problems) Wish they would make a sleek T5 adapter for this. It'd be perfect.

This is a very well engineered and built BMPCC 4K/6K full cage. It holds all of the accessories I need (plus some space for ones I don't know I need yet.) I got this because I needed a sun hood for the screen and a way to hold external drives. It had two NATO rails, and I got an attachable one for future needs. All in all, this is a impressive piece at a good price.

Works great and costs a lot less than the competition. Love Small Rig and have a lot of their products. The only downside is that it is hard to open the rubber covers that cover the HDMI Port, Audio Ports, Power Port etc with the cage installed. It’s also a little tricky to open the battery lid but it’s all doable. I use my pocket knife or a key to open the rubber covers and the battery lid is easy with a flick of a fingernail once you get the hang of it.

This cages assists with mounting the BMPCC on any stabilisers. Works well on a gimble to allow critical mounting.

Just installed it on my Pocket 4k. It adds a LOT of mounting points for accessories. The two screws fixation makes it rigid and literally impossible to move, meaning that once it's installed on the cam, it stays there. Haven't used it on the field yet, but it sure looks like it will add a layer of protection to the fragile looking cam. I'm planning on adding the T5 disc mount (already ordered) and cable protector soon. Overall, it sure looks like an infinitely customizable accessory. Highly recommended !
