These are gorgeous little panels for painting your masterpieces on. About 12" square (30x30cm) really sturdy and if you add your own widgets and picture wire you can paint the sides and hang it frameless, which I love to do. It does need prepping, you can use acrylic matt medium or "archival" PVA glue. When this has "cured" (after a week or so) you can gesso the panel. But I wouldn't just paint straight on the bare wood definitely not with oil but also with acrylic.

I am new to painting on birch I usually use canvas but this is my new favourite thing! These panels are good value, great quality and the delivery is spot on. I just wish they made them larger than 12" x 12". Very happy, thanks very much!

Not the strongest panels in the world but excellent value for the money. I hesitated buying these at first due to others reporting damaged plywood, but mine were all perfect.

These are solid and sturdy and perfect for me. Very reasonable price. I have used canvas boards by the same company and always find them very good quality.

The product description states: "Unlike other art panels which can be weak, rough and full of knots. The Daveliou wood canvas set provides an unbeatable solution. The result... YOUR BEST ART YET!". For 3 of the 4 panels, that's true. However, as shown in the photo, one panel had a very noticeable defect. Some quality control before the product ships might be an option.

These are a lovely light colour. I bought these to use with acrylic knowing they need primed before use. They are a good depth and will look professional even without a frame if you want a contemporary look. The sides can be painted and/or varnished for a fine art finish. I haven't rated them higher because there were several chips on the surface of the majority of the boards - disappointing as they'll have to be filled and sanded to repair the splintered areas before starting to prime.

C'est un bon produit, prenez soin de le poncer légerement et applique du Gesso. Pour un des 4 panneaux de la boite, im ya une veine de bois qui le traverse, j'ai pu l'attenuer en ponçant un peu donc soyez prudent et preparer bien votre panneau avant de peindre
