Got here very quick and easy to install. It works perfect. Very rugged and easy to see light indicator.

This product is rated for both indoor and outdoor use. I used it to replace the outlet on a 12 gauge (wire) extension cord. I really like the integrated green LED which glows to indicate that voltage is present. Some reviewers found the outlet difficult to wire. I didn't, take your time and you will do fine. The only negative feature of this outlet is the clear plastic internal insulating covering that insulates and supports the outlet contacts. This plastic clear insulation cover ideally would be captive. It pulls off easily when wiring, making it so the outlet contacts can fall out. Positioning the outlet contacts back is easy, but it is important to note that the bare wires connecting to the green LED also may become disconnected. The LED wires are held in place by simple compression, sandwiched between the outlet contacts and the internal body of the outlet. Should the outlet contacts fall out, just make sure that the wires connecting to the LED are sandwiched between contacts and the internal contact guide insulating surface. You might notice that the LED flickers when illuminated. This is not a problem with the product, but merely because LEDs are designed to work best with DC power. The AC power common in many homes causes the LEDs to flicker slightly. Again not a problem but a result of AC power feeding the LED.

I bought this because our extension cord had an unexpected encounter with a lawnmower mower. It’s easy to install and stays on securely.

Appears to be well built. Installed and works as intended. I particularly liked the connection indicator light. I would purchase again, should I need to replace a 110V 15amp connector on an extension cord. Value is good, price is reasonable.
