You will find inside all 25 slides, each labeled and numbered, and a printed master list atop the foam insert that presses against the slides. The list is as follows:Specimen slides in the set are: Pine Leaf, Coprimus Mushroom Set, Sunflower Stem, Young Root of Broad Bean, Onion Epidermis, Tilia Stem, Pumpkin Stem, Lillium Ovary, Lillium Anther, Zea Stem, Nymphaea of Apustio Stem, Hydrilla Verticillata Leaf, Pine Stem, Dog Esophagus, Human Blood, Dog Skeletal, Muscle, Pig Motor Nerve, Rabbit Spinal Cord, Rabbit Testis, Dog Cardiac Muscle, Dense Connective Tissue, Housebee Mouth Parts, Honeybee Worker Leg-Composite, Hydra and Dog Stomach.This is a nice selection to start from. I was not disappointed and I taught biology for 30 years.

Do you feel like the 25 slides are plenty? Or do you wish you had bought one with 50 or even 100 slides?

I bought mine for my 9 year-old son who thoroughly enjoys looking at them, and by the time he gets to the end of the box he is usually ready to move on to some other activity. I would say the 25 is enough for us, for now.

Will this work with kids geosafari taking microscope

For future reference, I found only listings for Geosafari _JR_ Talking Microscopes. All the photos I could find for that model clearly indicate that Geosafari Jr slides are encased in some kid of plastic framework for use with only the Geosafari Jr Talking Microscopes. Silly? Yes I agree but Marketing rules. As such, IMHO regular slides (such as those in the AmScope set) will _not_ work in Geosafari Jr Talking Microscopes without heroic measures.

I found this here @ Amazon for $6.28: Heathrow Scientific HD15994G Black Cork Lined 100 Place Microscope Slide Box, 8.25" Length x 7" Width x 1.3" Height - empty with plenty of room for slides. nice box.
