Walnut Hollow Clock Surface, Round

So far so good 1st engraved clock turned out great!

The clock came looking pretty rough and raw, but after I sanded (100) and painted over it, it looked super nice. I also applied tung oil where the wood was exposed and it gave it a nice sheen. However, one thing: I thought the outer rim protruded outwards but it's the opposite, it's beveled inwards so the center section sticks out more. Nothing bad, just not what I expected. I actually bought 2 of these, and one of them came cracked down the middle. I ended up just gluing it together and it was fine.

Bought two of these and decorated them as gifts. Looks just like in the picture. It's a nice large size- perfect for a basic wall clock. I paper-mached both of my clocks by pasting magazine paper down with watered-down school glue. It worked beautifully. As for the rims- I painted the rim of the first, and stained the rim of the second. Both worked great! Now my friends are doing the same thing- painting or gluing are both options. The hands (that I bought separately) fit perfectly through the hole of this clock. The only difficult part was determining the locations of the numbers on the clock, which I did using a protractor. I really recommend doing this for a gift. Just wish the clock and hands all came in one package.

Needs sanding. Really rough in some spots and there is no hole in the back to accommodate the clock mechanism so it will stick out from the wall when you put it up. Arrived on time.

It does not have a cutout on the back for the clock guts, and the board it too thin for me too cut out a box into it, so the guys will stick out like 1/3 of an inch and that means it will not go flat on the wall

This is perfect for those who need to get a round Tuit. It's round, made of wood and can be used for many things. I gave one to my lazy friend. I asked him to give me back the $20 he owed me and he said he'd get a round to it. So I painted the word "tuit" on the item and said, "here's a round Tuit. Can I have my money now?" He had to pay up.

Wood quality good but the wood is not cut down for clock hand part to fit.

Disappointed in quality control. One of the three I bought has a very large scratch. This is soft wood. The scratch is deep and cannot be sanded out. I’d have to return all three to get a replacement and run the risk of getting another with a problem. Is this how this seller gets rid of less than perfect products. Isn’t 67% a flunking grade? I’m ready to give up Amazon and start shopping locally again. Edit: unfortunately I didn’t pay enough attention to the detail. This is a thick piece of wood that was too thick for ANY of the various clock works I bought. I had to chisel out the back so that the stems would insert far enough to completely install the clock works. I wasn’t expecting the finished clock to fit flush with the wall but I didn’t expect to have to modify the wood to build the clock. This was supposed to be a fun project for the kids. Ended up being project for me.

Bought these to make clocks for the first time. The size is great and the hole in the middle makes it easy to insert the clock mechanism. I highly recommend for your crafty projects.
