LUANT 24 Inch Bathroom Shelf 3-Tier Wall Mounting Rack with Towel Bars

This towel rack was the perfect find for my new guest bedroom/bath. I was going for a “luxurious hotel” feel and a place to store large towels and bath sheets for easy access for guests. Very sturdy! I would suggest either making a template or having an extra set of hands for installation because you will need to use a level to get it straight on the wall. I used plastic wall anchors to make sure it was secure. I highly recommend this product for its look and functionality.

I bought two - one for master ensuite and one for guest bath. I hung them above the toilets. They are perfect. The folded towels are convenient and add a soft pop of color. I installed them quickly and easily. I appreciate the simple but substantial design.

The materials appear to be good quality stainless steel, including all the hardware except the metal washers that the screw covers go over. Those washers appear to be NOT stainless because they are magnetic. It also appears to be polished stainless and not lower quality stainless with a chrome coating. Assembly was pretty straight forward, except that some of the hardware had come out of the bag and I had to dig around the box looking for it. You shouldn't need instructions to put it together if you are mechanically minded, but the instructions provided are bad. They basically are numbered drawings to assemble the unit, but don't provide any help in mounting it to the wall. There are no written instructions, just the pictures. It even comes with tile anchors (thanks!) but if you didn't know what they were, you'd be awfully confused what to do with them because they are all connected together and it isn't obvious how the little plastic green "brick" is used. The bigger issue though is that there is nothing in the design that prevents the connection to the metal mounting plates from rotating. There is no keying, no rubber washers to prevent rotation, or even lock-washers. Not only does this make the unit not as sturdy, this means that you can end up with your shelves being parallel to each other and the floor, but then your mounting plates are not perpendicular/true to them or plumb to the adjoining walls. Basically, it's easy for the unit to become a parallelogram instead of a rectangle. If you ware hoping to put it together, then hold it on the wall, mark through the screw holes, then start drilling, DO NOT DO THIS! It is very likely (practically guaranteed) that if you are trying to hold it against the wall and mark the holes by yourself, the shelves will shift left/right in reference to each other during the process and the marks you make will not be vertically aligned. If I hadn't double checked the marks made with a level, I'd have the bottom shelf 1/16" further to one side than the top shelf. Complicating the installation, those minimal instructions don't provide any dimensional drawings or a paper mounting template. You'll need to very carefully measure out your mounting hole locations, then hold the unit against the wall, and check that all your marks align prior to drilling. I supposed you could also figure out the spacing between the two mounting plates (29 1/2"?), then use them as templates BEFORE you assemble the unit, but I didn't think of that until after I was done. Why they couldn't have just put a folded paper template for mounting in the box is beyond me... would have made mounting take 5 minutes instead of 30 minutes. Overall, I'm happy with it now that it is up, but was frustrated with it during the install. If I was doing a bunch of these for a hotel or apartment building, I'd probably look for a different unit that has an anti-rotation mechanism and mounting template (or I'd make a template). However, for just putting one up, it was alright.

Looks good. I recommend. As you can see the shelves aren’t very deep and these towels are not super large. The drywall anchors that come with it suck. I have to start stocking better quality drywall anchors from hardware store for these sorts of jobs. Also the caps that cover the screws do not easily snap into place and lay flush. But overall it looks really good and looks sturdy not cheap (although sturdiness is only as good as your amounting job).

I give 5 stars because it is a beautiful, useful set of shelves - we really love them. BUT: You need to be very careful when you install then. You will have to do some precise measurements and be accurate in mounting the support bars. This means both bars must be vertical, must be a very specific distance apart, and must both be the same exact height from the floor. I have found that it is easier and stronger if you use zinc self drilling drywall anchors (which you can get from Amazon.)

Was the perfect finish to a bathroom remodel! Was planning to hang a picture on the wall until I saw this towel shelf on Wayfair and one can never have enough towel space so I ordered! It arrived quickly and met all my expectations for this price point! Looks great. Sturdy. Easy to install.

The product did seem to be in order and met expectation when unbound. However, I would recommend looking at alternative wall anchors to replace the fairly weak and low quality ones supplied. Instructions were minimal and no templates were provided but anybody who has even a modicum of experience can figure out how to mount this. One issue with build quality was one of the braised in retained not on the big shelf was set deeper than the others and just out of reach of the bolt. An M6-1.0 replacement bolt about 5 mm longer was the solution. Once up and plumb, it looks nice, functions well, and the covers for the mounting screws are a nice touch.

Bought this for the two bathrooms in our condo since there was limited storage space for linens. This rack allowed us to keep multiples of bath towels, hand towels and face clothes. It was easy to install and had now issues supporting the towels etc. The chrome finish was very nice. Great value for a nice rack.
