d-c-fix 346-0616 Self-Adhesive Privacy Glass Window Film, Minster/Iris, 17" x 78" Roll

I bought this for bathroom windows, and it is perfect for that. There were prettier patterns in other films, but they were all static cling, and I don't think they would stay on the windows with humidity from a shower. The windows I am using this on are narrow, only 12" wide. My only complaint is the direction of the print. If it was printed with the design following the long sides, it would have been easier, but it does have other good qualities. First, it isn't see-through even at night. Second, it has a paper backing which is much easier to handle than the plastic backing on some window films. Third, the backing is marked with a grid, making it easy to cut it to size. Lastly, there is no need to spray the window or the film with an applicator solution. I cut the pieces about 1 1/2" larger in both length and width than needed, centering the design on the window. I peeled the paper back a couple of inches from the top and creased it there. This is where the paper backing is better than the film. The film has a lot of spring to it and doesn't take a fold well. It can be a struggle to keep the backing out of the way. I lined up the top edge and the left edge along the window frame and let the film adhere to the glass, using a soft squeegee to adhere it well, being careful not to get folds or bubbles in the film. It was easy to pull the film away from the glass to reposition it as necessary. Once the first few inches of film was adhered to the window, I pulled the paper backing away for a few more inches, smoothing it with the squeegee. Once all the film was on the window, I used a razor knife to trim away the excess film. I wanted the whole window covered with the film, so I had to piece it. It was easy pretty to line up the pattern. I just had to be careful not to stretch the edge so the pattern fit together. From a short distance away, it looks like it's all one piece. You have to be right in front of it to see that it is pieced, and even then, you have to look for it. It looks nice in the bathroom and lets in nice, filtered light while maintaining privacy. I installed the UV light reflective film on all of the other windows in my house. I like it, too, but it is see-through when it's dark outside and installing it can be a bit tricky. This was much easier to install, and it prides the privacy I wanted. This film isn't something I would choose for all the windows, but it's nice for a bathroom. I would recommend this product to others wanting a window film for privacy.

Absolutely gorgeous print. It comes on like stained glass. It does not cling: it is sticky. If you live in a sunny zone, like I do (Los Angeles) I personally recommend using another film under it (one brand that comes to mind is "BDF - Buy Decorative Film" that is like sunglasses for the windows. That way the print won't fade as much, over time.

This product is just amazing. I have two full glass doors and this added the much-needed privacy that was needed for those areas you can’t see through it but it still lets the light in which is perfect I liked it so much I ordered a role for my office windows. This has a very fairy tale motif feel to it once its up! It’s so freaking cute! I’m ordering a 3rd roll now to do 1/2 window treatments on my window panes!

This ground-level window that is about 10” deep is a bit tricky to dress. This was a great alternative to curtains. With some fastidious measuring and slow application, I am quite pleased with the application of this window film. I used a credit card to smooth it onto the glass as I peeled back the paper backing a few centimeters at a time. The result is a lovely stained glass effect. The film has a bit of texture which helps to blend any tiny air bubbles. At the end of the cut piece, I trimmed the slight excess with a razor blade. I cannot speak to its longevity, but I am happy with the result. It allows light through, will hopefully reduce fading, and looks nice!

I absolutely love this vinyl covering. I initially bought one roll to cover a couple of small transom windows at the back of the house and provide a little privacy. But it looks so pretty that I wound up buying two more rolls to use in other parts of the house. It was easy to install— no wrinkles. I wasn’t expecting much from a temporary vinyl covering, but unless you look at it closely it actually looks like custom colored glass.

It’s really hard to find a durable window film that’s thin pliable, and it sticks to the window. Trust me, I’ve worked with five different brands all didn’t work except for this one and one I bought at Lowe’s years back. This film adheres to the window. It’s not too thick and actually looks beautiful. Overall, it’s hard to get all the bubbles out, but it doesn’t affect the end product at all.

So I love this print, was perfect to add to my TV stand doors. BUT it's like contact paper but somehow worse to work with. I needed 2 pieces - roughly 17in x 15in . They were a huge pain to get on the glass. The film wants to roll up so badly so it's hard to peel the paper down at first. I peeled the paper down a couple inches, folded it and that seemed to help. I tried smoothing it out with a ruler at first but that made things go badly. So then I tried an old gift cart - also not great. Ended up just using my hand, seemed the best. I still got creases and bubbles. Once you get a crease, it's there forever no fixing it. I got so many bubbles despite going slow, peeling the paper back an inch at time, all the things you're supposed to do. I tried peeling it back and smoothing them out and that helped a little but then you risked creases. Eventually I went back with a pin and popped the bubbles I had and that smoothed them out for the most part. You can see the few bubbles I missed when the light hits it just right. Overall - it's a really pretty print but a huge PITA to use. I also thinks it's expensive for the quality and amount you get.

I put this film on a small window we have facing the street. I didn’t want to cover this space with a curtain or blind and plus it is very small. The pattern is very cute and still lets in natural light for plants. Not the easiest to install, but not too terrible. I will be buying more for other windows in the house!

Me gustó mucho, es un adhesivo de buen grosor por lo que es muy fácil instalarlo, no quedan globos de aire. Detrás viene marcado con líneas rectas como una regla lo que hace fácil cortarlo bien. Si quieres que las flores queden hacia arriba es un poco complejo hacer calzar el patrón pero se puede. Lo recomiendo! (Tapé toda la ventana, pero dejo esta foto para que vean la diferencia de cómo cambió)

In jeder Hinsicht perfekt. Einfach anzuwenden und sieht wunderschön aus – wie Buntglas!

Excelente, no obstruye la luz y al mismo tiempo obtienes privacidad tanto de día como de noche, la parte “transparente” viene biselada o arenada. Sin dificultad para instalar, trae adhesivo por lo que no hay que hacer mucho salvo limpiar antes la superficie donde lo vas a poner.
