Sharp and stay sharp
These are the nippers to buy. The spring is properly attached so it doesn't fall out, the handles are ergonomic, and the blades are the right size to fit into tight spots in an assembly. Trims everything from copper and tin leads to occasional stainless leaded components without difficulty or noticeable dulling. They are excellent quality for a reasonable price. Do consider that these are miniature nippers - they are inherently limited by their size. They are intended for trimming small components leads and wire in tight spaces, not cutting through heavy gauge wire, terminals or steel (although I have occasionally trimmed stainless lead components). For a while we bought similar looking Chinese knockoffs, however noticed after several months the knockoff would break at the bend between the blade and the handle. Weird to see but the Knipex don't break, and hold an edge better, so I'd say they are worth an extra few bucks.

buy with confidence
Excellent for snipping zip ties bikes or clipping supports off 3d printed parts, or plastic model kits. I have 2 of these and they come in super handy. Knipex is high quality, buy with confidence.

Quality product
This company makes the best tools for my lab. I go through many of these kind of snips a year, but this one has lasted longer than any of them and works consistently better.

Wire wire snips I've used.
They also cost more than any wire snips I've used. None the less it's nice to be able to get in tight spaces and snip so easily. I had an older pair that was nearly as nice, and considerably cheaper, but I got a little out of control and asked them to do more than they could. These are more sturdily built and sharper. Thus the 5 stars. They are a very high quality build. That said, if I could have found another set of my last ones for 5 bucks like I bought them, I would have gotten several set of those instead. Just b/c I'm actually more reluctant to use these b/they are so nice. That may sound absurd, but I don't want to buy another pair that costs this much and the 5 dollar ones from Italy seem to be made of unobtainium. They were nearly as good and considerably cheaper.

Exceptional
These are one of those tools that cause a little pain because of the high cost but ore than pay for themselves after heavy use. If you do a lot of electronics work at the board level and frequently cut leads, wires, and things like this then these cutters are fantastic. You need to know up front that the cutting jaws to not meet exactly flush. That's the way they are designed and help to extend the life of the cutting edges and help the cutters to perform even better. There is a very slight overlap that shouldn't be mistaken as a sign of poor quality. These are exceptionally sharp and fit perfectly in the hand making it easy to manipulate your work and hold the pliers at the same time. These are one of my favorite tools.
