I just discovered that my 8 year old son has NVLD. It came as a shock and I decided to read all I could about it. This book covers everything. There's another book by the same author entitled "NonVerbal Learning Disabilities at School". I home school my son, so I got that book too. I've read both of them front to back, but I find myself going back to them for resources info. Highly recommended for anyone who has a child with NVLD.

Speaking as an Adult with Asperger's Syndrome. I can say this book gave me several ideas I'd never thought of and demonstrated some things that I wish my child-self had known about - including a conscious and literal understanding of what his room and toys mean to an autistic child. This Book is well written and useful for Adults with Social Disabilities and a Great Read for parents with a Child with Social Disabilities.

I found this book very helpful. It helped me understand my child better and gave me ideas I can use at home to make his life less stressful. I also read Nonverbal Learning Disabilities at School. As a parent I found it very helpful to have both. I have already seen a change in my child since applying some of the things I have learned.

NVLD affects all areas of life, this book gives practical information to help at home, it helps you to understand your child's strengths and weaknesses. I highly recommend it!
