These are such a lifesaver – my mom has early stage dementia, and while she is still able to get around by herself (safe for daytime driving, we are VERY aware of this and I ride with her weekly to confirm) and is highly functional, she is starting to have some memory issues and I don't want her to be vulnerable to credit card financial scams or risk losing her debit card. That's where the gift cards come in handy. Mom lives with me but likes to feel independent so I have been giving her one or two of these every week for the last year or so. This way she can still maintain her independence without the risks I spoke of above. These cards let her go shopping for groceries, gas up her car, make small purchases in person or online, go out to breakfast/lunch with her friends, etc. She's 75 and came from an era when everything is on paper so she does not mind keeping her receipts and "balancing her checkbook" every week. If anything, it really helps to delay the furthering of her symptoms and allows her the independence and autonomy that is critical for her age, even without this condition. If you're using these for a parent or family member also, my number one tip is to provide a clear laminated card holder and a small sharpie so that the date and balance can be recorded with the card. I also give her two at a time in case one runs out. I prefer the $100-200 amounts, but they come in smaller denominations as well… the higher amounts just save me money for the purchase fee. These also make great gifts for small holiday bonuses for my house cleaners, gardeners, and other employees. Easter/Thanksgiving/Christmas are times when everyone could use a little extra cash. I also have a few of these stocked in the Emergency bag in my car as well, which has saved my butt a few times. Have been meaning to leave this review for a while, but when she thanked me this morning and said she doesn't feel like as much of a burden and is happy to still be able to "handle things on her own" I knew it was time. Please just be mindful of your own situation - if there are untrustworthy people or people who you cannot verify around them, or if memory loss is severe, and they are losing things these may not be the best choice for you. But in my specific situation, it's been a Godsend.

A gift card for a friend, folks the most common questions I get, you can’t upload this to your Venmo or Cash App account, it is cardboard and it does bend and tear store it wisely, you can use it on uber. You can’t pay bills with it. There you go I hope this helps. Please enjoy. Two thumbs up!

I wish I didn't have to give even 1 star, because this is definitely Zero STARS!!! This Gift Card was a Christmas Gift. My husband tried to use it several times and it declined. He went to the website shown on the back of the card and created a PIN. He tried to use it a day or two later to get gas, and it still didn't work. We called the number on the card the first thing the robo-assist says after we entered the card number is something like "Your PIN is 1997. Please enter your PIN". That is NOT the PIN we set up on the website!! Then it kept saying we entered the wrong zip code (All robo assistance), and wouldn't let us do anything else. We then went back on the website and the balance on the card was $.35! All weird charges in a 24-36 hour time-frame made right after he set up a PIN. The card didn't work for us even once! Not as a Visa/credit card or as a a Debit card with a PIN! It's a SCAM from the start! Either you can't use it as a Visa/credit card and lose the money, or you set up a PIN and they steal your money! Amazon is still selling these!! It showed up on my Buy Again list today! I reported this to Amazon stating we just want a Gift Card that works and isn't fraudulent, (not asking for a refund - just make it right!), and they said they are Escalating this to a higher team and will be in touch in 24-48 hours. That was yesterday afternoon. It's ultimately on Amazon because they are selling this on their site. If they don't make this right I will be extremely pissed off. 1/17/26 - UPDATE - After 3 hours on the phone with Amazon, 3 separate escalation submitted, emails requesting information from Amazon that bounced back when info sent, and the biggest runaround I've ever seen, Amazon refuses to do anything. Also - there are TWO different Visa Gift Cards they send out when you order. There is a plastic, silve-sparkly card that seems to work. The one we received is is gold, matte finish and is NOT plastic. It's almost a very thick coated cardboard. You don't know which one Amazon will send you. Amazon has been aware of this problem since 2023 and is STILL sending out these fraudulent cards. It's a game of Russian Roulette if you buy this. If you get the Gold one, you're probably screwed. I also spoke to American Express and they said they've seen increasing complaints about this, and that they've seen Amazon BLOCK the account of the person who registers a complaint. This is fraud on every possible level!!!!
