Thai Green Curry Paste 1 Kg (Pack of 2)

This paste is by far the best green curry paste I've tried. It makes a very authentic tasting curry, very aromatic and full of flavour. Use the paste to cocunut milk ratio as stated on the tin, as the paste is very hot. I used about half the amount of cocunut milk during my first attempt and was blown away by the heat. To put this in context, I frequently eat hot indian food and "Hot" on a Nandos scale.

Let me start by saying that thai green curry is one of my favourite dishes. I dislike thai food if it doesn't have enough chilies and is lacking the kick, but this paste takes things to the extreme. If you put the 'required' amount in your dish, then you get the right hotness but not enough curry taste. Too much, and you reach that point where spicyness overwhelms your taste buds. Might as well be eating chilies without the curry at that stage. If only the hotness would be toned down somewhat. Most people will be pleased with this product since it has that authentic taste, but not nearly as intense as I'd like it to be. Maybe it's the lack of fresh ingredients? This is still the best green curry paste you can buy though.

My thai curries taste amazing and just like the ones in restaurants. Very easy to use as comes with instructions, but you can change it to get your own strength to how you like it. Plenty to last a few servings. Home made is so much better.

I have had Green Thai Curry from Restaurants & Takeaways in the past & wanted to have a go at making one myself. I ordered this paste & followed the recipe on the side of the pot. It was so quick & easy, the taste is totally delicious & quite hot but the perfect heat for me. Bearing in mind I had never used any curry paste before I was a little worried of the smell of the paste when I opened it but I needn't have been, I would also recommend not trying to taste the paste lol. It suggests using 50g of the paste in the recipe but if you make it & decide next time you want it hotter you could add green chillies or more paste, for milder you could reduce the amount of paste. I had mine with Veetee Thai Jasmine Rice that I also ordered from Amazon, it's like a sticky rice that goes perfectly with this curry.

This is the best Thai curry paste you can get and it’s what the Thais use as my sister-in-law introduced it to me. Comes in every colour and flavour and just stores in the fridge and lasts for ages.

I love Thai green curry which is why I bought this in bulk! It is however very hot so be warned... The pot will last for a while! It is about 31% chillis so much more potent than supermarket jars... If you like your Thai slightly less hot then avoid... We however love it!

I love Thai green curry and was disappointed when my local Salisbury's stopped stocking my usual tried and trusted paste (everyone that tried it said my curry's were fantastic) which I had at least once a week. I tried all over to find a replacement and none compared. I decided to do an internet search and many people recommended Mae Ploy for an authentic taste so I decided to give it a go. I am so relieved I have found one to compare with my original. Very authentic flavor with a good amount of heat and I am so pleased green curry is once again part of my staple diet. This is probably as good as it gets unless you are prepared to make your own from scratch.
