Absolutely amazing suit. FDX is a great brand.
I have been getting various pieces of FDX clothing and it is great stuff and great quality for the price. To help you out sizes are difficult to evaluate. I'm 5'11'' not a skinny cyclist, i'm 33 waist with chunky legs I guess. About 40" chest. I generally get XL in FDX and its fine, especially the shorts although tops need to be a size down I guess, if you prefer them skin tight, I dont and need a little extra length. So I ordered XL, the top really was too big, it would have been flapping about the bottoms seemed perfect. I contacted FDX directly and did the swap with them for the top. Great service. So just been out today on receiving the suit. Its 9'c with a decent breeze. I didn't wear anything else under it. I felt quite comfortable, probably could have done with a base layer as you can feel the wind chill a little in the arms and on the sides. There is a big slab of fleece on your back, seems similar on the sides and front? Not sure maybe thinner, Its a bit like a soft shell jacket, smooth on the outside and fleece inner. Did seem to be windproof, but wouldn't be waterproof. I think you just need that extra layer maybe, certainly if it were colder. The tights are a good fit and I had no problems feeling any cold on my legs. The pad is the same as their 'all day' cycling stuff with gel inserts and I was comfy on a 22mile route. There is reflective finishes on the legs but I guess you should wear a gilet or similar on top if you were going out in the dark? I think someone mentioned in a review the pad seemed to sit further forward than general and i would agree with that, but still sat on the pad.

OK
Size wise, XL, perfect for 6.2", slim build, with long arms. So probably size up! Performance - the jersey, whilst having a nice fleecy inside, is very thin (holding to the light, you can easily see through it) and NOT windproof (tested on same run, same (v cold) temp, 2 days after using the top from that certain Italian company (the one with the 'red camo' finish'), although this does have 3 pockets). The airflow cuts through this at higher speeds, sapping any core warmth from the mid and base layers (maybe you could get by with the old trick of a couple of sheets of newspaper inside)... I'd put it at roughly equiv to the Decathlon own brand jersey; I find it's weaker also than the (also uber-thin) Pro Jetstream from that other well-known brand. Overall, the jersey is probably pretty decent for upper single digits temp, but not down to the 1-2 level. In the bag, you do get a lot for your money though (just don't go to the arctic..). The gloves are nice (though again, not exactly ski-grade), as are the socks. Haven't tried the other stuff yet. Certainly could have a worthwhile place in your cycling kit. All seemed reasonably well made. Winter jerseys have to be the most difficult bit of clothing to find - performance, sizing etc. Summer stuff by comparison is a piece of cake. I only bought a couple of new jerseys for this winter after nearly freezing to death on a run last year as old stuff had shrunk and couldn't hack it - forcing an impromptu stop at a pub for a brew...

Unbelievable value
Right I own a couple of Goretex long bibs which I bought many years ago at just under £200 a pair, they are of course epically good quality, warm and fit like a glove! But at eye watering cost, so this year I bought two summer sets of the FDX bibs and Jersey and was really impressed with quality and comfort for the money. So as the cooler months are coming in thought I would take a punt on FDX winter offerings. They are fantastic, I am really honestly impressed that FDX are producing quality bike gear at a fraction of the price as Enduro, goretex etc, and considering they cost just over £40, you will be hard pressed to find a better quality winter cycling set. The FDX set is well made, warm and fits reasonably well, whilst the bibs are perfect the jacket could be a little tighter, I am 83kgs, and 5'10 and went for a large, as I am a 34inch waist and 38 chest so on the cusp between medium and large. Would be great to be able to order different sizes of tops and bottoms, but in conclusion for the money they are a steal and thoroughly recommended

Not suitable for winter use
First impressions would suggest that these are a bargain, but after my first ride out in 8c weather, it became immediately apparent that the leggings don’t provide much in the way of warmth. Particularly around the ‘gentleman’s area’, where they feel really draughty and cold. The pad isn’t great either, and felt quite uncomfortable 15 miles into a 43 mile ride, even with chamois cream applied. The top had fitting issues, with the neck feeling very tight )to the point of not being able to do the zip up properly. On the plus side, the fabric seems to have a level of water repellency. I’d say, ok for Spring/Autumn, short rides on a budget. But definitely won’t be any use as the mercury drops, and the pad isn’t great for longer rides. Am considering returning.

Nice and toasty and a bargain too!
Bought a load of FDX cycling gear recently and I am very pleased with the high quality you get for your money. I've been on two rides recently wearing this particular set and I have to say they are comfy and keep you at the right temperature. The arms offer plenty of manoeuvrability and don't seem to cut into your skin under your armpit like some other jerseys I have had in the past. No need to wear an undershirt in my opinion with this and I was cycling through West Yorkshire into a cold head wind and felt fine when I got back home. The fleece inside is just the right thickness and does allow breathability in the key areas you would expect. The only criticism I would have is the padding does not seem to go to far back and you may find on occasions it feels as if you are hanging over the edge of the padding and onto your saddle. I liked this so much I bought the same one in a different colour from FDX ebay store which had them cheaper than Amazon.

Good fit well made
Like the fact that this fits well I am 6 ft 3 ins and 16 st and find most cycling gear too small even in their largest size. Kept me warm in 8° temperature and quite windy. Material seems good quality and well made but early days only worn 5 times so only time will tell how good quality it is.

Good for money but area for improvement. Overall impressed
Great value for money and warm(ish). However the sizing is an annoying aspect. I need a medium jersey which fits fine and thought medium bib tights would be fine. The length is OK (tad long) but, the pad is WAY too big and out of position. The front of the tights in the pelvis area is very thin and lets wind through (can get quite chilly with the fuit and veg). But these tights actually repel water, wicking water off in showers. They are not waterproof but dry quickish if caught in a shower. Overall I would say for the money they will do the job for cold dry winter mornings but sizing is definitely a tough trade off whether you may want you bib tights fitting or the jersey. I would recommend for the price though
