Been using this for decades -- works great!
I've been using this stuff for years. Back in the day, I used "Siphotrol" ... which I think is what this used to be called. Either way. This stuff is the only thing I've ever used that actually works like it says (at least on rural Northern California fleas). It kills the monsters and keeps them away. Of course, you have to treat everything at the same time (wash the bedding, the dogs, vacuum the floor, treat the yard with flea-eating nematodes, etc ... ) to keep the monsters away, but it still works even without all that. It's just more effective when you take care of everything at the same time. Yes, it does have a chemical smell, so open the windows if you can. I hate to use chemicals around my pets, but I hate to see them eaten alive by monsters even more, so we have a routine to minimize exposure whenever possible. DO NOT use this ON the pets -- make sure they're out (especially cats) of the room until it's dry .... you only need a light mist around the edges of the room and whatever furniture, etc. Make sure to pick up ALL food and water until you're done misting the area. If used as directed, the can lasts a good while for the average sized house. If you have monsters everywhere, the first can will probably go fast because you'll need to treat everywhere. But if you have a can on hand for maintenance, it lasts a while because you don't need much. Your mileage may vary. Use at your own risk. Please keep all arms and legs, tails and muzzles, inside the car while in motion. Please remain seated until ride comes to a complete stop. Love your pet like family. - Meandering with Muddypaw

Great product
Actually works. We have two cats and live in a 900 sqft apartment. As someone who has grown up always having pets, I take fleas and the health of my animals very seriously. So when our two cats got fleas for the first time, I went to do research. In doing so, I found this. I could not be happier. The first thing we did was spray the cat tree and put it on our balcony so it can dry and the cats aren't on it. After a day, the cat tree looks like a warzone. Littered with dead fleas that have come up to the surface. We are very happy and are in the process of spraying everywhere right now.

Works well, but spray lighter(ie walk quicker) for more coverage per can
This seems to have worked well. I did apply a second time after about two 2 weeks just to be sure, even though I had seen no real evidence of remaining fleas. I wanted to be sure and the can did suggest this might be necessary. The only down side is that the coverage area is less than suggests on the can. At least at the pace I sprayed it. I was walking backwards steadily, but not quickly and slower than walking pace, as I swept the can from side to side. I might have been able to go faster, but again, I wanted to be sure to get maximum effect. The instructions don't mention anything re pace or time over a given area. Combined with a spray that was more of a fog that drifted down as opposed to a hard spray, it was hard to tell how much was getting on a specific area. It says 2000 sq ft per can, but I ended up using about 1.75 or so cans each time and sprayed about 2300-2500 sq ft including furniture. I'm ok with that since I wanted to be sure, but you may need to go closer to normal walking pace if you want to get 2000 sq ft coverage per can.

Worked with other options
I used this along with Suspend SC and Precor IGR and vacuuming every other day to every day. It did leave a bit of oily residue on my uncarpeted floor but it easily cleaned up once they all died. Had little smell and was super easy to apply. Wear gloves because your finger you spray with will get chemical on it. It's a bit expensive and I needed 2 cans to treat my smaller 1 bedroom apartment and my car but it works. I now keep 2 cans on hand for next season if it happens again. No more waiting for shipping I can spray this day one and put in an order also. Remember though you need to vacuum. Chemical is only part of the solution! If you get lazy on vacuuming and house clean up they will last longer.

Don’t Bother Buying Anything Else
I had a terrible flea infestation these past two weeks. My cats are longhairs so even on prescription preventative, fleas were living all over them since they got into the house somewhere. Before this, I had tried everything. Carpet powders, other sprays — I even rented an industrial carpet cleaner in the hopes of washing them all out. Of course, none of that worked, I was still going insane with fleas jumping all over my legs as I walked through my room and house. I thought that I was going to have to get an exterminator until my vet recommended Vet Kem. In all of my research online about what products to use, not a single person mentioned this stuff, but it has honestly changed my life. Started by spraying my room and even after an hour the results were noticeable. Nothing was jumping on me anymore and I didn’t have to walk around my room with a lint roller to catch them. I waited until the next morning to give final judgment and lo-and-behold, not a single flea jumping on me. I couldn’t believe that I wasted two weeks losing my mind trying a million things when this stuff worked immediately. I’m buying more for the rest of my home and to keep on hand from now on.

Good product, but get the pump spray variation instead
Happy with the elimination power, but the spray nozzle is constantly clogging and can sometimes be cleaned off enough to keep using, but often you can't and the can is now useless with product still in it. The pump spray version is more work, but doesn't clog as easily, saving you money overall. Recommended by my vet and very happy with the kill power of the brand.
