Stunning set! Buy it.
What an exceptional set! Similar to many others, the pandemic inspired me to be self sufficient with my hair. That and my hair stylist has gone downhill with haircuts lately. So keeping in mind I am incredibly inexperienced and know nothing about hair shears, I love what I bought! This set arrived in it's own cardboard box, not some oversized amazon box with air fillers. It felt heavy which I immediately thought was good sign. It felt like quality weight. I opened it up and was so impressed with the packaging!! The shears, razor and comb all came in thick plastic protectors, not thin crap plastic. It feels like there was actual effort made in presentation. Now for the shears, I just clipped a tiny bit off my length and they cut like a dream. People comparing the cut to slicing through butter is incredibly accurate! I tried the razor on my arm hair (I barely have any) and it worked like a charm. The case is also sturdy and looks well made. I'm so stoked I got this set. I adore yellow gold and gaudy gems, I feel like it was custom made for me yet ridiculously affordable given what I spend at the salon. My only concern is the long term quality of the gold finish. I gave pretty smudgy fingers and I saw fingerprints immediately. I'll probably make the effort to wipe the down after I use them. I also wish the shears had a slightly more pointy tip but maybe the rounded tip will reduce chances of clipping my fingertips. BUY THIS SET! It's gorgeous and functional.

Awesome!
Been my favorite scissor set. Don’t need to spend hundreds on expensive set when these work just great. Sharpen every 6-8 months.

Blue 6” shear set with razor
This set is beautiful as far as the coloring goes (I got the blue one) and the thinning shears are pretty great! However.. the actual shears? .. bad bad bad! The tips are EXTREMELY rounded and the set I was sent wasn’t sharpened correctly (honestly I would say 40% out of 100%) There is only about an inch of space on the shear blade I can use to cut and if I go past that it bends the hair like a mofo. The set I received does NOT do well on ethnic hair of ANY kind; it’s like tedious sawing thru the hair. The shears I received push the hair instead of cutting it, which is an obvious no-no, not safe and definitely not sharp as to what they should be. I have not used the razor yet so idk about that particularly in the set. I’m not surprised or upset considering the price, and I wasn’t expecting anything revolutionary lol. I’m just sayin, the I rest of the blade could have been sharpened quite a bit more.

Super sharp & sturdy
I was overdue for a haircut when the pandemic hit and stay-at-home orders took effect. Three months later and I was so frustrated with the mess on my head I was just about ready to buzz it all off. Instead, I spent hours watching YouTube videos on how to cut my own hair and everyone was using thinning shears to blend layers, making for a flawless cut that looked so easy to do. I mistakenly thought all scissors/shears are created equal and ordered a cheap set from Ebay, only to have that old adage "you get what you pay for" reinforced - they were such obvious junk I never even attempted to use them on my hair. This set wasn't that much more expensive, so I was a bit skeptical, but the reviews looked promising, so I figured I'd give them a shot, and I'm SO GLAD I did. I am by no means a hair cutting expert, though I've been trimming my husband's and son's hair for a couple of years, and hadn't attempted anything on my own head since I was a rebellious teenager several decades ago, but this set is FANTASTIC! I was able to give myself an outstanding pixie cut that looks like I paid a professional to do. The tools are sturdy, well balanced, and oh so very SHARP. Word of warning to those with chubby knuckles like mine: thinning shears do not know the difference between fingers and hair and will bite through either one with ease. Well worth the price as I expect to get a lot of use out of these.

Meh. They were a last minute gift. Should've kept looking.
So these are decent shears. They are a bit on the heavy side. Not at all like japanese steel pair I got for myself at a local beauty supply but those were $45 just for the shears. So you get what you pay for. I bought these as a gift for my dad and was a little shocked at the ugly cheap looking (and very bold) pink bedazzled rhinestone accent. This was a mistake. It completely makes these look cheap and tacky. Because I didn't have time to order a different set as these were a last minute Christmas purchase, I took a black enamel paint pen and covered over them. A sharpie didn't work. It looked acceptable. Especially to my Dad who would need his cheater glasses on to be able to tell that they were painted gems. He liked them. He cuts his own hair and said that they were really nice and sturdy. He's a great guy and is very appreciative so if he didn't like them, I would honestly never hear about it. I knew he would say they were very nice no matter what. God, thinking about how they took such a masculine set and ruined it with that bling is really laughable. I didn't realize how shocking and sparkly they until they were in my hand. Haha. My Dad is a man's man and would not have appreciate that. Now my bf thinks hit pink is a great color choice for today's man. So who knows? Honestly. Spend your money on one set of really decent shears. Go to your local beauty supply and see what they offer in a level just down front the professional series and make sure they are authentic japanese steel. Quality over quantity. I actually regret buying these for him. I should've not been so lazy and worn out at the last minute before the holiday and ran to the store so I could've personally held them and inspected then for myself. These are just too heavy and "ornate" for my taste. In fact, I'm going to call my dad and pray his honest review if these so I know whether or not to return them. Oh Amazon, so hit and miss. That's part of the adventure I suppose.
