My husband jokes that I can hear a rabbit hop fifty yards away, and that is probably true. As a result, I'm in the "extremely light sleep category". This is a really nice product for those nights when you absolutely can not screen out noise any other way. I've tried everything - air filters, white noise on my phone, white noise machines. You name it, I've bought it. These tuck nicely under your pillow and so they do not disturb the entire room. I did not feel them, even with a memory foam pillow. They worked extremely well and I now use them on the nights when my regular options just don't cut it. The only reason that I don't use these nightly is that they have to attached to your phone (of course) and they use up battery really quickly if you use a white noise app. It is personal choice, but I tried sleeping with the phone plugged in but could not reach my bed. A longer connection would solve this.

Placed under the pillow, it completely deadens the sound coming from the speakers. I was using these speakers plugged into my cell phone for meditation, so, granted the volume on my cell phone only goes up so far. However, when I use my over-the-ear headphones, I hear everything just fine. Yes, there is a volume control on the speaker wire, but it didn't help increase the volume. In order to hear anything at all, one speaker had to be placed under one ear perfectly centered on the ear to hear anything. It is very uncomfortable to have to sleep this way and you completely lose any stereo effect. Not that it really matters but the construction of the speakers seemed good and the idea of a volume control was fine, but you will have to figure out some way to keep the speakers from sliding around.

Shipping was fast. In fact, I received my Sleep Therapy Pillow Speakers within two days of placing the order and four days before my Sound Oasis Sound Therapy machine arrived. I decided to try the speakers with my cell phone’s white noise app while waiting for my sound machine. To my consternation, the sound from the speakers when plugged to my cell was very faint. I could hardly hear any sounds even with my ear next to these speakers. My immediate thought was… “I should have listened to those one-star reviews I read but chose to ignore...These are either going to the trash or ask for a refund”. Well, when my white noise sound machine arrived, I plugged the speakers to the unit and, long and behold, the sound coming from these pillow speakers was loud and clear! I learned that there was nothing wrong with the speakers. It was that my cell phone did not provide enough power to drive the pillow speakers. So, if you plan to use them with your smartphone, make sure your device will supply enough output wattage for the pillow speakers to work properly. Speakers’ technical specifications: Jack: 1/8” (3.5 mm) plug Output: 4 ohms, 2-watt speakers Size each speaker: 2-1/2” x 2-1/2” with rounded corners and edges. The pillow speakers are attached to a volume control box and they can be as loud as the sound unit it is plugged to (but not louder). The cord between the speakers is long enough so you can place one on each end and of a large king size pillow, on top and inside the pillow case. The speaker at the open end did not stay in place and kept sliding out. So,I folded the edge of my pillow case and placed the speaker, on that end, inside the folded edge to prevent it from slipping out. Overall, for the price, I am happy with them. They are lightweight with decent stereo sound.

Tinnitus disrupts our balance and needs to be sedated so that our balance is restored. This pillow does just that during the nighttime. I have another device to do that daytime. . . it's called a hearing aid with a tinnitus app. That app was awfully expensive though so be careful to buy hearing aides that are equipped WITH the app; don't be caught by a money-hungry outfit that will charge an arm and a leg for just that app!

This is a brilliant concept. However, it did not work with my regular pillow, it moved around too much. I tried under the pillow and inside the pillowcase, neither worked. I sleep with a bolster pillow under my neck and tried fitting it with a speaker at each end and running the wire through the pillow to the second speaker, voila! This was much more successful. I have the speakers hooked up to a disc player and listen to pink noise on repeat all night. I use it to mask other noises. Unfortunately, the volume is pretty low. I have it and the disc player at the highest level and it only masks lighter noises. Definitely good enough for some noises but wish it was more powerful. The other issue is the cords/wires. They tangle very easily and are splitting in a few areas after just a couple of months. They don't disconnect to be able to replace just the wires, eventually I'll have to replace the entire unit. All that said, it does work for masking some noises and I suppose if you use it to listen to other sounds/music, it would work quite well. I won't sleep without it and I would purchase this again. Update: I was too rash with my previous review, I should have waited. I deducted a star from before because while I still think the idea is a good one, I no longer use them. The tangled wires got too frustrating, I tried taping with electrical tape and that didn't work. They kink and tangle up and just split and between that and the lack of volume, I would no longer recommend them. I was only using them for white noise while I slept and it just couldn't produce the sound I needed.

Terrible connections. I've never been able to get both speakers to function at the same time. Moving them and or the wire around will allow enough contact for one or the other speaker to play. Resistance must be terribly high as well since they can barely be turned up to a loud enough level to be heard through a light pillow. The sound quality really isn't bad when they actually work so it's the execution in assembly most likely causing the problems. Even though they are inexpensive, I don't feel they were anything but a waste of money. Don't waste yours!

Ho acquistato queste casse perchè purtroppo soffro di acufene. Ottima l'idea di poterle inserire dentro il cuscino, nonchè il fatto di avere il suono stereo anzichè mono. Ho trovato molto comodo anche la possibilità di collegarsi solo al lettore MP3, senza il bisogno di alimentazione esterna. Detto questo però, il cavo che collega tra loro le due casse è troppo corto, mentre paradossalmente quello che collega le casse al dispositivo audio è eccessivamente lungo. Inoltre il volume è troppo basso, se si posizionano le casse sotto il cuscino non si sente niente, mentre se si posizionano sopra bisogna comunque regolare il volume al massimo. In conclusione, lo trovo un prodotto valido ma può essere migliorato.

Lets you hear through the pillow but does not disturb spouse.

These speakers are excellent. I have bought cheap single units & have never been happy with them. These units are top quality. The cables are far superior to the cheaper speakers as is the sound quality. Before buying the SP-101 speakers I used to have to access the volume control on my MP3 player. Now, I can adjust the volume using the in-line volume control fitted to the speakers with ease. I fixed each speaker to my pillow with a space of approximately 20cm. by stitching around the cables close to the speaker units to the underside of the pillow. Before restricting their movement I found that the speakers would slide around and move out of listening range. I read a review on these speakers recently where the reviewer gave them only one star. The reason he gave was that he could not hear them through his memory foam pillow. Due to the density of memory foam, this comes as no surprise to me. Forget pillow speakers if your preferred pillow is memory foam. For use with conventional pillows buy the Sound Oasis SP-101 speakers, you will not be disappointed.
