Excellent traction on ice
I live in Northern Michigan and have used the mini cleat style ,which the cleats eventually fall off and also use the yak Trax style with the coiled wire which usually works pretty good. Anyways,we had a lot of snow and then it warned up ,melted and was followed up by rain and then refroze. My Yak Trax just slid on the ice below the snow and I wanted something more durable than the previous mini spike cleats ,so I decided to give these a try while snowblowing my driveway. These worked impressively well and definitely dug into the ice below the snow allowing me to not slip or slide at all. I have balance issues so even a slight slip can cause me issues such as my yaktrax in this scenario. These are made with a nice thick durable rubber with the spikes attached to a chain vs a rubber backing found on the mini spikes I would usually buy once or twice a year as the spikes would eventually detach. A prior review I read on these said they had mini spikes but that is not the case and I included pics with this review. As I said above, after a lot of snow followed by the melting and rain and refreezing,my long driveway and private road was literally a solid sheet of thick ice under new snow and these gave me excellent traction with no slipping at all. These exceeded my expectations in not only the grip but in the build quality. Heavy rubber and solid chains and spikes make me believe these are going to last me quite awhile. I would recommend putting these on your boots/footwear before you put them on your feet as they do need a little tug to get them on due to solid rubber compared to the cheaper and thinner mini spike ones. They also include straps to hold both sides of the crampons over the top of the foot to further secure them although I did not use those and they stayed on just fine. It also includes a storage bag to put them in which is appreciated as these are solid and beefy crampons,so it's nice to have them stored in a bag due to their size with the chains and larger spikes. They gave me a lot of confidence and I am definitely glad that I paid the few dollars more because these are definitely worth it. If you spend time outdoors on heavy snow and especially Ice,I would recommend these. A well deserved 5 stars in my opinion.

Great traction and super easy to use!
These crampons fit securely over my boots and feel very sturdy. The stainless steel spikes grip really well on ice and packed snow, giving me a lot more confidence when walking or hiking in slippery conditions. They’re lightweight, easy to put on and take off, and seem very durable. Excellent value for the price, highly recommend!

Satisfied
Works perfectly. It’s completely night and day. Was easy to put on, no chance of slipping with these on. Easy to take off. Sizing is accurate.

Great spikes
I purchased these cleats to hike during the icy winter and they worked well. They are more micro-spikes than Crampons, but work well in snow and ice. Easy to put on and take off. They did break, but after contacting the company, they replaced them. Great customer service.

Reliable Traction for Winter Hikes
I recently picked up the Cimkiz Crampons Ice Cleats Traction Snow Grips for winter walking and I’ve been really impressed with how well they perform on icy sidewalks and snowy trails. The traction is excellent — the metal spikes grip ice and packed snow confidently, and I felt much more secure walking around without slipping. Whether I was heading to the store or walking my dog, I noticed a big difference compared to regular boots or shoes alone. I also like the stretchy rubber harness. It’s easy to slip them on and off over different shoes or boots, and they stay snug without slipping down while you walk. The elastic feels durable and hasn’t lost shape after several uses. These traction cleats fit comfortably under shoes and don’t feel bulky, so you can still walk naturally. The spikes don’t poke through, and the whole setup feels solid even after extended wear. They’re also really easy to store when you don’t need them. One thing to keep in mind is that they’re best for icy pavement and packed snow — they’re not designed for serious mountaineering or very uneven terrain. But for everyday winter use, they do exactly what you’d want.

Crampons that are easy to put on and keep the grip
So far these crampons have worked really well on our hikes up Mount Baldy Summit, Thunder Mountain, and San Jacinto Peak. They’ve helped keep me stable and confident on icy and steep sections of the trails, and I appreciate how easy they are to put on. Once they’re on, they stay secure without slipping or needing constant adjustment. For the quality and performance, they’re a great value for the money, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone hiking similar terrain.

Excellent for “off-road” use
I researched a bunch of options and ended up going with these, and could not be happier. I used them over a period of 3 days for hiking up and down a steep ski slope to watch a competition. Provided that you size the crampons correctly for your footwear, they do not slide around at all and they provide excellent traction on steep hard packed snow and ice. I was a little worried that they would shift around on my descent, but they did not move at all and they allowed me to safely walk down without any slipping or sliding. The build quality is excellent and they appear to be quite durable, however i have used them only for a few days, so I cannot speak for their longevity. I would not recommend using them on paved, stone or concrete surfaces, as this will most likely damage the metal spikes and render the crampons useless. These are definitely for “off-road” use.

Phenomenal Boot Spikes for Ice and Snow
Blown away by how well these spikes work in practice. I’m currently working an ice race, and while I’ve seen a few folk go down on the ice, I’ve had ridiculous traction. The spikes penetrate even hard ice. Walking on the spikes without ice/snow can be a little less desirable. Also, super easy to clean up any mud/slush in a bathroom sink. At least five people over the last two days commented on wishing they were similarly equipped. Fantastic quality. There’s some other styles I’ve tried of like boot treads, one was kind of a spring wrapped around an elastic cord. I fell while wearing this subpar style real hard. First steps on ice with the Cimkiz was nearly a religious experience.

This is reliable ice cleats are an absolute must for my winter gear. I picked up the Large Grey version of these 19-spike crampons, and they have thoroughly impressed me. Sizing & Fit (Helpful Note on Sizes): First, a quick note on sizing for anyone trying to figure out the stretch: my partner and I tested the Large size on both a men's size 42 EU (which is roughly a US Men's 8.5-9) and a women's size 37 EU (roughly a US Women's 6.5). As you can see in my photos, the elastomer band stretches easily and fit securely over both sets of winter boots. There was no awkward sagging, and the chains stayed perfectly centered under the sole. Traction & Performance: The 19 stainless steel spikes make a massive difference compared to the smaller, rubber-studded grips I've used in the past. As shown in my attached video, I tested these walking directly across a completely frozen lake. The stability is fantastic—the spikes bite right into the smooth, solid ice, and I experienced zero slipping or sliding. It gave me complete confidence walking at a normal pace on a surface that is otherwise impossible to navigate safely. Ease of Use: They are very straightforward to attach. You just hook the front wire over the toe of your boot and pull the rubber back strap over your heel. It takes seconds, which is a huge bonus when you are trying to put them on outside with freezing hands. Verdict: If you are dealing with icy sidewalks, frozen lakes, or packed snow trails, these grips provide heavy-duty, reliable traction. They are easy to use, fit a wide range of standard boot sizes securely, and the stainless steel feels highly durable. Highly recommended.

Faciles à mettre. Prend pas trop de place dans le sac à dos. Pas très lourdes. À voir sous le temps si elles sont toujours aussi efficaces.

Bought two pairs of crampons for our recent Lofoten, Norway trip. This crampon is simply awesome; it has very good grip on snow and especially icy surfaces. My wife and I could move around confidently without fear of falling.

In no way do these spikes replace a 10/12 point crampon, but they do serve a purpose and they do it very well. I recently hiked the Tarmachan Ridge in full winter condition. Powdery snow with wind scarred ice sections. These spikes gave confidence under foot, very easy to put on and are a must to keep in your pack when it's possible you might encounter slippy conditions. Sometimes the conditions don't merrit a full crampon, this is where these spikes come into their own. Well made and great for the price.
