5 lb. Book of GRE Practice Problems Problems on All Subjects, Includes 1,800 Test Questions and Drills, Online Study Guide and Lessons from Interact for GRE (Manhattan Prep 5 lb) Third Edition

This book was the sole source of material I used to study for the GRE. I ended up doing very well. I thought all of the practice questions were accurate and a great source of studying.

I bought this book because I needed more practice in every area for the GRE test, and this definitely gave it to me. The problems are realistic, and the answers for each section do well in explaining how and why the answer is what it is. It is organized by topic which is very nice. If I want to focus on geometry, I go to the geometry section. If I want to focus on sentence equivalence, or only issue topic essays, I simply flip to those sections. I highly recommend this book in preparation for the GRE Test. I also bought the Mometrix GRE Test Prep 2020-2021, which gave helpful tips and strategies on how to complete each kind of problem in every section of the test.

I bought the physical copy but to be honest. I found trying to have a prop up a 5lb book was a bit annoyingPros:- Exhaustive book covering every single math concept on the GRE-Each chapter starts with easy questions and gradually gets more difficult when you approach Q20 and above!-explanation are in the back but sometimes I had to look online for additional explainations.-Really helped me understand how I was poorly prepared and after spending a month or so studying 4-5 hours a day, My math really improved-VERY CLEARLY LAYED OUTCons:-really heavy so looking for a solution to a problem can get annoying.- I did not care for the online service. Super annoying that you cannot advance to any lesson you want, You have to actually do the prior chapters if u want to unlock the more advanced material.- The verbal section is absolutely awful. I DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR VERBAL PRACTRICE. This book EXCELS at Math but is terrible for verbal learning in my opinion.Overall:This book really helped me get on track and taking a chapter a day is a great approach, if you travel frequently and take your work with you, the E-book will be a much better experience than lugging around a 5 lb book when you only need to study a specific chapter. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND FOR QUANT

I just took the test on Aug 20, 2020, and this book helped me reach my score goals. The difficulty of the problems in this book is very close to actual GRE questions - a combination of low, medium, and high-difficulty questions (as well as en entire chapter on advanced math questions for those aiming for a perfect quant score). I went through other non-ETS books as well, but none do as good of a job as this book. I would recommend you solve even those math problems that seem easy because there are many tricky ones, and it will be helpful to learn tricks and avoid them on test day. Took the practice test provided by the book and was expected to get 161 Math and 147 Verbal. After doing all the chapters in the book, I took it and got 168 Math and 157 Verbal. Very pleased with the scores and even more so with my improvement.Highly recommend doing vocab flash cards before doing chapters 3 & 4 (Magoosh has a nice app), otherwise you might feel like you are going to fail the vocab section like me! After doing the app I looked back and it seemed much easier.Highly recommend this book! Kept track of my studying and it took about 40 hours to go through the entire book (excluding essay practice) once, with looking at right answers and making corrections!

I had to take the GRE to apply for a DPT program and was really struggling with studying for the the quant section. Sitting down and just reading about how to do math like a few other practice books did not help me. This book was exactly what I needed! I was looking for a book with a lot of practice problems with explanations and this is exactly that. It also has a very helpful quant equations and common needed knowledge all compiled at the back of the book. Highly recommended to anyone needing to improve their GRE score. Great price too!!

I love buying used books, so this was great and usable. The cover is worn and a little torn, and the spine has been broken into. The pages are clean, and so far I have not found any notes or highlights.

This book confused me because upon registering it online, I was prompted to visit an edits web page, to edit the mistakes in the book. It seems unreliable to me in some ways.Update 9/14/20:After actually taking the exam yesterday, I am quite annoyed. I used this book - which correlates really well with the Kaplan book 2021 I used. But easily over 90% of the materials I studied incessantly for the last 6 weeks were not on the actual exam. I also bought and used the Manhattan Prep GRE app for Android $14.95 for the month (I think it was).I am beyond annoyed, angry and frustrated. How one can study and study and study and still bomb the exam. I studied everything in both books, and used the app, etc. and it got me a 146 V, 141 Q.I am extra frustrated because I feel like it was a total waste of time, energy and resources. The money for the exam, the money for the books, apps and other materials that I memorized, etc. all down the drain. Disappointing is an understatement.
