I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

Bought this to create bonded interfaces on a Dell Optiplex 980 running Ubuntu 20.04 connected to a Ubiquiti switch. Card was recognized immediately. Bonding was simple to set up with nm-connection-editor and works. Wake-On-LAN works. Couple of things to watch out for: - While Wake-On-LAN works with Ubuntu Adaptive Load Balancing bonding, whether it works with 802.3ad bonding will depend on the upstream switch. - Installing the card changed the order in which the BIOS recognized drives and the machine wouldn't boot immediately after installing the card. Fixed that by reordering the BIOS boot preference for the drives. Update: Bought a second one for use in a Dell Pro Slim Plus minitower running Ubuntu 24.04. Great performance and instant recognition by the OS for bonding and WoL, just like the one mentioned above that's installed in an Optiplex 980.

I'm using a pair of these Gigabit Dual NIC with Intel 82576 Chip on OpenBSD. Worked OOB. It's been running for about a month now. I've had no trouble getting ~1gbps saturation on these cards between machines tested with iperf or through the internet with various speed test sites.

Yes, the product works. There was no documentation or installation instructions. I was able to Google the mfgr website to locate the Intel driver and download the zip file, perform the installation. At first, I actually, HOPED to get help (didn’t realize that I needed to disable my failing comms card or the new one would not be recognized) and reached out for help. I purchased this particular item BECAUSE of promise of tech support. No deal. Support site is in Chinese characters (!) and I correctly guessed they were asking for my name and email. Automated response (this time in English) saying they might be “busy or away” and to leave my email address. It’s six hours later, and no response.

This is a good product, however the driver doesn't work with the latest version of VMWare. I tried to slipstream the driver and it still didn't work. Sadly returning it.

Works decent would probably perform better with heat sinks and a fan

Great product and a great price for dual ethernet port card. Unbeatable price on name brand part. Cant beat the quality.
