Really excited when I recieved them!
Honesty, I can't say either they work or not. After a break of 12+ years and with inconsistent swings, my neighbor invited me out for a round of golf at our local par3 course. I dreaded to play since back then I had a terrible slice correcting it with a hook. A bad one as well! I didn't have a set of clubs and used my neighbors extra set he had. Bought a 12 pack of recycled 2 piece Callaways from the pro shop, teed up and off it went slicing right losing sight of it. Took a mulligan and hooked landing about 10 yards from the middle of the fairway. I'll take it! That round I lost 6 balls due to either a slice, hook or water hazard. Began going out more often with my neighbor that I ended up buying a set of used clubs. Taylormade RAC OS... Must've been the clubs since I fairly kept my shots playable in the fairway majority of the times playing with the leftover Callaways I had and losing 3 balls. But I still hooked or sliced. Just not as bad as 12 years ago. I wanted to improve my game just a tad more so I started looking around on the internet to help me. Read about the Wilson Ultra 500 Straight and the Polara bought a pack of both to try them out on our next round. After receiving them both I couldn't wait for my neighbor I HAD to go give them a try and played a solo game. First tee was the Wilson. Excellent feel from the face, ball flight, good trajectory and right down the middle of the fairway landing approximately 95 yards with a PW. Teed up the Polara aiming at the pin with arrows as stated on the sleeve and same height as the Wilson. Polara had excellent feel off the face. Trajectory was fairly low and had somewhat of a slice. Ball came to a stop approximately 85 yard and about 10 yards to the right of the middle of the fairway. Like I mentioned I have an inconsistent swing. So it's possible that my swing caused it. Wilson did great on the green. Good stopping power set up for my 3rd shot. With the Polara you can either play it as it lays or touch the ball and aim using the arrows. I played as it laid. I know the arrow marked on the ball wasn't aimed to the pin as you can see from the dimple arrangement. Polara also had good stopping power. Used a LW for both. Second hole... PAR 4... 233 yards... Wilson was first up. Teed up as normal with the middle of the ball to the crown of my driver. R580 10.5 degrees. Again, excellent feel... good trajectory and right down the middle of the fairway at 205 yards. I'm liking the Wilsons and my game is slamming so far! Next up is Polara... Teed high as its states... I'd say 1/4 of the bottom of the ball with the crown of my driver. Here goes nothing... Great feel... Again, low trajectory and little of a slice at 180 yards. Must've been my swing... No one was tailing me so I teed up another Polara same way. Aiming at the pin and height. What the 😳!!! Same results. I couldn't believe it so I teed up another... This flew somewhat straighter and trajectory was fairly higher. Came to a stop approximately 195 yards and 5 yards to the right of the middle of the fairway. So to make a long review short, they really don't do much for me. At the end of the round I had an equal results on both. At times the Wilsons would slice but still close to the middle of the fairway. Trajectory and distance was excellent at every hit, and good stopping power on the green. The Polara also was the same. So to be frank I can't give an honest review since they both performed quit the same with me although i did lose 2 Polars going into the water. I didn't lose any of the Wilsons. Gave 5 stars because they are still excellent. Don't expect these to fly perfectly straight and go where you want them to go. My game has definitely improved and I can FINALLY enjoy around or 2!

A Must-Have for Recreational Golfers!
I recently purchased the Polara Ultimate Straight Golf Balls, and they have completely transformed my golf game. As a recreational golfer who often struggles with hooks and slices, these balls have been a game-changer. Straight and True: The patented technology in these balls is nothing short of amazing. They significantly reduce hooks and slices, allowing my shots to fly straighter and more accurately. I used to dread my tee shots, but now I feel confident knowing that my ball will stay on course. Extra Distance and Spin: Not only do these balls correct my shots, but they also provide extra distance and spin. I’ve noticed a considerable increase in my driving distance, which has taken strokes off my score. The extra spin also helps with control around the greens, making my short game more precise. Improved Confidence: The biggest benefit I’ve experienced is the boost in confidence. Knowing that my shots will be more accurate has allowed me to relax and enjoy the game more. This mental shift has positively impacted my overall performance on the course. Durable and Reliable: These balls are also incredibly durable. I’ve played multiple rounds with the same ball, and it still performs like new. The quality and consistency are impressive, making them a reliable choice for any golfer. Perfect for All Skill Levels: Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced golfer, these balls can make a noticeable difference in your game. They are especially beneficial for recreational golfers who want to enjoy the game without the frustration of errant shots. In conclusion, the Polara Ultimate Straight Golf Balls are a fantastic investment for anyone looking to improve their golf game. They deliver on their promise of straighter shots, extra distance, and enhanced spin. If you’re tired of hooks and slices ruining your rounds, give these balls a try – you won’t be disappointed!

Not for me, but they are silly straight
So just to set the stage, I am about a 9 handicap and hit the ball pretty straight, slight baby draw, but pretty straight, and I like to work the ball with a draw and a fade. My miss is a duck hook, and I wanted to see how these balls would help that miss. Also, I wanted to know if it would help the super slicers in my foursome. I decided I would play 18 holes, 9 with the Polara and 9 with my trusty ProV1. 1st hole - Par 4, 4 hybrid low and super straight piped down the middle of a tight par 4. The first impression is that the ball didn't get very much height, but I figured that was just a bad first swing. I get to my ball with about 108 to the pin thinking cool, little sand wedge should leave me just below the pin and a nice birdy putt. I hit the ball well, and holy crap, I flew the green by about 20 yards. Ok, so maybe I pulled up my big boy pants, and that's on me. Chip back to the green and nice 1 putt for par. Thank god the pin was in because the ball just fired off the putter. Again, thinking that was weird. 2nd hole - Par 5, time to bring out the Lama, "big hitter the Lama". Put a good swing on the ball, and again it didn't get any height and had a bizarre, kind of knuckling flight to the ball. The second shot topped the crap of the ball, so my fault. Thrid shot 165 yards to the middle of the green with a slight wind, so perfect 8 iron. Put a good swing on the ball, and it flys dead straight at the pin, and crap, I flew the green again. Damnit, ball is in the hazard, drop, chip, and three putts. Triple! Just as before, the ball fires off the putter. 3rd hole - Par three, redemption hole. 186 yards to the flag, little wind behind, and a good 7 iron hole. Another good swing on the ball, and it's straight as an arrow covering the flag, until I notice it's going, going.....crap long again. Drop, chip, and another 3 putt. So without making this review any longer, I shot a 49 on the front nine with the Polara balls. I hit 4 of 7 fairways with two of the 3 missed fairways being long, 3 three putts and lots of missed greens long. I put my trusty ProV1 in play on the back nine and shot a 38, only missing 2 fairways and 1 three putt. I found with the Polara ball that I wasn't getting the height from my longer clubs that I got from the ProV1, and I was losing significant distance off the tee with the driver, around 20 yards but absolutely smashing my irons long, about 10 extra yards. Also, the pop off the ball from the putter was crazy, and I found it very hard to control the speed of my putts. Do they fly straight? Absolutely, but if you work the ball with a draw or fade, forget about it you can't. For the better player, stick to your normal ball, but for someone who struggles with hitting the ball straight, this may make the game a bit more fun and help you lower your scores.

Product works as advertised, but....
I'm a 12 handicap and can work the ball the way I want most of the time and it is still possible with these balls, but the spin you get off the tee is very odd. First tee, I hit a straight bomb with my 3 wood (didn't want to hit driver as they advertise needing to use a higher lofted club for this ball to do what it's supposed to) about 250 yards. I also hit a non-conforming ball I bought at the same time and it did as advertised as well, it went about 25 yards further and straight with great ball flight. Could be a fluke? When lining up the arrow towards your target you will notice on the right and left hand side of the golf ball is a grouping of smaller dimples, which is what is supposed to correct the flight of the ball in the air to straight, which it does this is where the BIG BUT comes in. If you hit a ball that would normally fade, slice, draw or hook with a normal ball this ball will correct itself LIKE A KNUCKLE BALL it will dip and dive in the air as to not spin sideways BUT this will really hamper the distance you want. This was more evident when hit with a 7 & 9.5 degree driver. The funny thing about this ball is that it is very easy to hit a draw or fade. It may be because of the direction you point the arrow? It will exagerate the spin in these situations. It also advertises that when you point the arrow perpendicular to your target it reacts like a normal golf ball would and I would say this is true for the most part. I reccomend that if your driver is 10 degree or lower you do not hit this ball off the tee or if your swing speed is higher than 95mph not to use this ball off the tee either. This ball doesn't putt all that well as you need to hit much more swiftly to get it to the cup, but hitting it too hard means trouble. Play this ball on links courses or narrow courses where placement is key. You will sacrafice distance however. Although this ball works as advertised I think if you put a good swing on the ball consistently you wont need this.

They work like magic, but....
I'm a 16 handicap with a life long semi-rare death slice. When I don't turn my hands over on a drive or with a wood, people two holes are in imminent danger. My irons are fine - they rarely slice, I can chip and putt and my sand game is good. But if I REALLY try, I can literally slice a golf ball 90 degrees - 220 yards out and 80 yards right. It's an awesome Phil Mickelson-like skill for the 400 yard dog leg right holes because I'm 80 yards from the pin on a dry day but a fade is a tough shot for me because I can snap hook it just as far left when I over correct. Welcome to middle of the road golf USA - moderate native ability and some craft but I do love the game and guys like me keep golf companies in business. To all the purists out there appalled by this sort of "technology", I've taken years of lessons from state amateur champs, PGA professionals and low handicap buddies - I've tried hard to fix this malady with professional help (like a lot of my bad habits). I can shoot 82 on a good day and 95+ on a really bad day on relatively tough private courses. I'll also bet that Jack Nicklaus thinks that ugly new white Taylor Made driver is pretty much a Polara ball with a handle. Obviously, these balls are meant ONLY for screwing around or playing best ball with your buddies or messing with people (unless you have NO golf pride and are a tool by nature.) Using Polaras in leagues or any other sanctioned event is cheating, a doucher move and USGA illegal. On the fun side, I tried REALLY hard tonight on a very familiar course to make these balls slice and the best I could do was a 15 yard fade. They definitely do NOT go as far as a Titleist Pro V 1 and when I hit a Titleist pure, I can still hit it 260 yards, but many times I'm playing Daniel Boone looking for it in the woods. You certainly cannot "work" this ball and my Mickelson-like slice ability which comes in really handy at times is totally wasted with these balls. The solution there is to drive the Polara and drop a Titleist on the second shot - but only for fun. The best I can hit one of the Polaras is about 230 yards but it does go straight. So ask yourself - 15% less distance but straight - what do I want? I did crack a couple about 240 yards but I had to really rotate and I'm not young anymore (55). I will admit that these balls make tight holes a lot more fun because it's not going into the junk. One caution here - these balls do reguire SOME skill to hit. If you're a really high handicapper with a Charles Barkley swing and one of those guys who will not benefit from voodoo, prayer or 20,000 hours of lessions, save your money and keep buying those X-outs. If you are one of those relentless, ruthless and completely annoying 14 handicap "rules weenies" (and you KNOW who you are) you're going to hate these balls and you will be vigilantly checking everyone you play against in your lame-ass Thursday night men's league to be sure it's not a Polara on the tee. You need therapy more than I need lessons. But for screwing around, having some fun and maybe giving your ego a break on a rough golf day, these balls are great medicine!

How to get people back into Golf!!! Use these balls and feel like a Pro on the Tee Box
I played 14 holes (twilight all you can golf rate) with this ball just a couple of days ago and I shot a 41 on a par 35. For me my normal score for that side would have been around 50. I was literally laughing out loud at every tee box after I hit another fairway. Of my 14 tee shots, only 1 missed the fairway and it was in the first cut of rough by 8 inches!!! And in reality I had lined up incorrectly so I blame myself. On the 2 par 3s I was on the green each time and made the par which is unheard of for me. I had 5 pars which I have not done in years and this was my best score for that course on the back side. I have a huge case of the yips on the tee box because of my 40 degree slice so I try to think of all of the things I am supposed to do and end up hating golf. I was going to quit playing after this year because it just ended up being no fun anymore. I started just using a 5 iron off the tee just to keep the ball in play. Now, because of this ball, I am going to play again on Sunday (2 days from now) and I have signed up for a Myrtle Beach golf trip with 15 other buddies who are all dying to try these balls. I had 2 of the best drives on holes number 12 and 15. When I played the "extra" holes, there is a par 5 that I almost reached in 2 shots which I have never ever done. I am not a long hitter at all but I did have an interesting comparison. I hit my Polara 3 piece in the middle of the fairway and then took out a Pro V1, same swing, and sliced it my usual 40 degrees. The Titleist wound up in the rough and behind the Polara by 25 yards. I never had an issue with distance one time with the driver. The thing you never think about is your second shot. I used to live in fear of hitting a 3 wood or a 5 wood because I would aim out of bounds on the left side knowing I would hook the ball. This works ok for links style courses but on tight courses I always have to hit 6 iron which means I still have another full iron into the green. Now I can take out a 3 wood and have no fear. I also never adjusted the ball on the fairway or the rough. I figured it would sort itself out in the air. And it always did. With all that being said, I did notice some interesting shot trajectories with my irons, mostly the 8 iron. I was not striking the ball well with my irons but they had a very top spin like trajectory. However, I never had a problem with distance and they all went straight so I am taking some much better golfers with me on Sunday and seeing if they experience the same thing. I also found that I like the feel and sound of these balls when putting. I know it seems strange but I was putting very well and the the bounce off of the clubface was just perfect. I can't explain it. So after having said all of that, I am just a recreational golfer and never really cared about golf or playing anywhere nice because of my horrible game. Now I am buying a new driver, setting up golf trips, and saving for a new set of irons all because of a golf ball. Golf Digest talks about geting people back into the game and for me this is it. Make the game fun and allow us to feel like a pro sometimes. I stand at the tee box, swing as hard as I can, and then get 3 legitimate chances at birdie in 9 holes. I am going from playing 5 times a year to playing at least once a week and going to pour around $1,000 into new clubs and driver. How can this not be good for the game? I never play tournaments so that is no issue and when I play with friends instead of them spotting me 5 to 6 strokes we will play even as I have told them all I play these balls.

Thought I'd Give a Try
I'm an 18 handicap. I've spent hours at the driving range and, while much improved over the last year, cutting 25 off my score, I still can be plagued with a snap hook, slow fade or a big pull. For fun, I thought I'd give these Polara (75% correcting) a try. My go-to course doesn't have a driving range, so you go out cold, so my first attempt I'll give some leeway. I hit left and the ball corrected the flight and held left, so that one is on me (maybe?). But the ball flight and distance were horrible. A good 75 yards shorter than my driver when straight or slight draw. I finished the 1st hole with my standard ball. Second hole, an 80° dogleg with the corner protected by trees. My usual shot for the hole is around 220 yards, over the corner to the far side of the fairway. I tee up another Polara and the ball takes off directly where I aimed. I teed up high, as directed, and the ball never got over 70 feet in elevation before nosediving into the creek (lost ball #1) at 155 yard where the turn is. Even if it carried the water, it would have never cleared the trees. I dropped another Polara to finish the hole. My approach shot, a half swing pitching wedge to an elevated green 65 yards away. It's a fun hole and if I miss the green, it's always short. Today, that half swing PW went 85 yards. I've watched videos and reviewers commented iron shots seem to carry father than woods. I'll keep trying. 3rd hole, dogleg right, water all along right side. My usual shot is a slow fade leaving about 100-120 yards to the green. My aim point was the same when trying Polara, slightly cutting the corner of the water at 170 yards. Contact was great but, again, ball apogee never got above 70-80 feet and did the same nose dive, landing in the water at about 150 yards (lost ball #2). Finally, my last ball of the sleeve, again, dogleg right, water the first 200 yards. Lined ball up to chase the shoreline, hit and watched a perfect slice continue right (no correction) over the water into the trees (lost ball #3). I finished the next 14 holes with my regular ball, losing only one more. Very hard to swallow dropping $45 on a dozen balls to lose 3 in 4 holes. PROS I got longer iron distance. CONS Price Horrible ball flight Loss of 60-90 yards distance with driver Will I try them again? Well, I've got 9 left, so why not. If I see dramatic changes, I'll update my review.

Do What They Were Made For!
Bought these for my boyfriend, he tried them and he said they definitely do what they were made for. I dont play golf but he absolutely loves them. Very high quality, normal golf ball color, and the performance is great. I think they're worth the price.
