Super Micro Trekking Pole (Single)

The Leki Super Micro Trekking Pole is an excellent compact walking cane/trekking pole. I have owned these for many years and have given several as gifts. They are lightweight, sleek, sturdy and very easy to use. They are a good length for dual use as a cane or as a trekking pole on flat and moderate terrain. They can be a bit short for use as trekking pole on rugged or steep terrain. This is a worthwhile trade off for the 18” collapsed length which will fit into a brief case or small tote bag and the ability to use as a cane or hiking pole. I have looked for, but never found, a product of comparable design and quality and am grateful that Leki still makes them. That said, buyers should be aware that photo and the description of the Leki Super Micro Trekking Pole for the vendor “OutdoorSport Pro” is for the wrong item. It shows the black and gold colored version of the Super Micro Trekking Pole that sadly has been discontinued by the manufacturer. The description states the item has been discontinued by the manufacturer and gives the model number for the discontinued version (#6322080). I ordered the item expecting to receive the item pictured and described, however, I received instead the current model, which is “gunmetal and copper” colored, model (#65020801) and has a small “basket” disk at the tip. This vendor is charging well above the price charged by other vendors on Amazon for the current model. I was willing to pay a premium for the discontinued model in the desired color, however, not for an item that has been misrepresented by the vendor and is available for less from other vendors on Amazon and elsewhere. A friend of mine had the same experience ordering this item from this vendor. Although it appears that the current model is a still essentially the same excellent trekking pole, I specifically wanted the black and gold color and returned the the item they sent.

This is a wonderful walking stick. It is light weight, is both strong, and flexible, which is a plus as it confidently supports me but flexes a little so my arm is not jarred. I stand about 5'8" and have less than two inches remaining to extend.

Very sturdy for such lightly made. Mainly use for standing , getting up & down. Also helps maintain balance. Good product 👍

I have MS and have a slight limp. I'm fine walking but distance and with it, balance are a problem. Didn't want to carry a cane all the time. Saw these with trekking poles at a camping supply store and was so happy. Folds up very small and is light. Doesn't have the "medical cane" look to it at all. I find myself using it more than I thought as it's there if I need it and signals to others to give me some room if I'm in a crowded public place. (Now I don't look drunk!) This version is very short so over 5'8" - 5'9" I'd look at the other models. This one is a twist as well. If you're folding up and down all day, get the lever model. I like this because it looks a bit sleeker.

This was shorter than described and did not match the picture. Product is good for what it is but the LEKI site shows this pole costing significantly less than the one pictured.

Had one of these before and lost it. So glad for this replacement which is a good quality as my missing one.

Smal, stronger than Zi thought. I am 6’2” tall, could set cane to comfortable height for me. I weigh 250+ lbs as well. It supports me well— no problems— even for a bigger man like me!

If, like me, you need a little help sometimes whilst out and about - arthritic knee that decides to kick-in for a while, then don’t hesitate to buy this, it’s very lightweight and easily stored outside a rucksack. But, it is also sturdy, stylish and there extended and ready in seconds when needed. Many Thanks, makes me feel just a bit more secure when out knowing the knee might just need an assist.

I will use this for travelling as telescopes down to 46 cm. Also find the walking stick style handle comfortable with my wrist injury

I bought two of these on the advice of my son, who is a physiotherapist. My knees are arthritic and whilst waiting for surgery I could hardly get around. The difference is terrific, being able to stand straight when walking and the maneuverability is so much better than before. Try them if you have painful knees.
